Convenience Store Payment in Japan

Payment of flights within Japan can be made at convenient stores after booking your air ticket from the JAL website or through the JAL Domestic Flight Inquiry Desk.

Payments

Payments are cash only.

Payment Limits

Payments can be up to JPY300,000.

Reservations

Only for six customers and within four sectors.

This service may not be available for different fare types and number of letters in the name, among others.)

Convenience Store Terminals

When the Terminals are Unavailable

  • The terminals may not be operable depending on the time.
  • If you change your reservation, your 11 digit customer number will be cancelled. Please obtain a new customer number to make payments.

Validity Period

  • Present your payment slip at the cash register within 30 minutes to complete your payment.
  • The payment slip will be cancelled after 30 minutes. Please issue a new payment slip after 30 minutes.

Discontinuing terminal usage

  • The reservation cannot be processed for 10 minutes when discontinuing the terminal.

Receipts

  • The receipt issued at the time of payment is official, however it is not a qualified invoice based on the Consuption Tax Act.
  • Please use the electronic receipt on the JAL website for qualified invoices.

  • Reservation cannot be changed at the convenience store terminals.
  • Payment cannot be made at convenience stores for additional fees incurred for itineraries that include sectors that have already been boarded.

Refunds

  • The payment control number is required for refunds.
  • For Japan Post Bank, please check the branch name, account type (deposit item), account number, and account holder name acccording to the Japan Bank Association ban transfer. The five digit and eight digit code numbers are invalid. Please check the Japan Post Bank website for details.
  • Refund applications must be completed withint the refund vailidity period.
  • The refund will be made five working days after the application is completed. Please be reminded that the refund may be delayed due to large refund requests attributable to bank system failures or adverse weather condiitons.
