Pay at convenience stores (in Japan)

You may pay for domestic flight tickets booked through the JAL website or JAL call center (Domestic Reservation and Information) at convenience stores in Japan.

This convenient service is available to everyone 24 hours a day.

  • *Payment is accepted by cash only and limited to ¥300,000 per transaction.

How to use

STEP1Book a flight ticket

Book your domestic flight ticket through the JAL website or JAL call center (Domestic Reservation and Information).
When making a booking, please provide your JAL Mileage Bank membership number.

  • *If you have enrolled to JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) online but have not yet received your membership card, or your registered address to JMB is outside Japan, please follow the flow as a non-JMB member to pay.

STEP2Pay at a convenience store (in Japan)

Use the multimedia terminal in the convenience store, review the details of your booking and make payment for your ticket(s) at the register.

Instructions for using the terminals are provided below.

After making payment, please keep your receipt (customer copy) at hand for reference until you board your flight.

STEP3Prepare things needed for the flight

Passengers will need to have their 2D barcodes (e-ticket itinerary/receipt) or JMB card/JALCARD ready for boarding.

2D barcode can be acquired from the Manage Booking screen.
Please login with JMB membership number and password to retrieve your domestic flight booking.

JMB card/JALCARD, Osaifu-Keitai ®

Passenger may also bring the JMB card/JALCARD, or Osaifu-Keitai® (the initialized JAL Touch & Go app/JAL IC Pocket app) to the airport on the day of departure.

  • *One barcode is issued for one person. The barcode is non-transferable.
  • *It is not necessary to reacquire the 2D barcode even the booking is changed.
    However, to ensure that the most up-to-date information is shown, we recommend reacquiring one with the latest itinerary before departure.
  • *Osaifu-Keitai® is a registered trademark of NTT DOCOMO, INC

STEP4Board the flight at the airport

JAL Touch & Go boarding (no need to check-in)

After arriving at the airport, you can go straight to the security checkpoint.
To board, tap your IC-equipped JMB card/JALCARD, 2D barcode (e-ticket itinerary/receipt), or Osaifu-Keitai® (JAL Touch & Go app with the initial setting set, JAL IC Pocket app) to the boarding information reader at the security checkpoint.

Notes on making payments at convenience stores

Refunds

Refund will be issued to passenger's bank account (bank in Japan only).

  • *Refunds are subject to an additional bank transfer fee.
  • *Please request refunds by the prescribed deadline. Refunds will be issued to your designated bank account in Japan within 5 working days of completing your refund request. (*)
    • *This indicates a normal transfer term. At times such as bank system dysfunction or disorder of large scale flight operation, we are unable to process within this time.
Other
  • Payment may not be possible as a result of certain booking details (number of passengers, itinerary, fares, number of characters in passengers' names, etc.) or of the time of day the payment attempt is made.
  • If payment is not made within 30 minutes of a payment request slip being issued from the multimedia terminal in a convenience store, the request slip will be rendered void. Please have a new request slip issued.
  • If the process is stopped midway through when using a convenience store terminal, that transaction will become unavailable for 10 minutes. Please resume your operation in 10 minutes.
  • If your JMB card/JALCARD or the Order Number cannot be presented on the day of travel, the boarding pass cannot be collected. In such a case, passenger will be required to purchase a new ticket at the airport.

When booking your domestic flight, please be sure to make a note of your flight number, date of departure and the Reservation Number (shown on the "Booking Completed" screen).

How to acquire a 2D barcode (e-ticket itinerary/receipt)

2D barcode can be acquired from the Manage Booking screen.
Please access to your booking with the 4-digit Reservation Number, select "Print e-ticket itinerary/receipt" button and enter the 12-digit Order Number to display the 2D barcode.

  • *Using your 2D barcode (e-ticket itinerary/receipt) when making a booking change
  • *If your 2D barcode is issued from a ticketing counter or printed from a PC printer, it is not necessary to reacquire a 2D barcode when making changes to your booking in principle. However, to ensure that the most up-to-date information is always shown, we recommend reacquiring one with the latest itinerary before departure.
