  • Inflight meals must be consumed during the flight.
  • Meal will be served 1 hour after take off.
  • Inflight meals for flights departing after 11:00 p.m. will be served approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes before arrival. (Except JL047)
  • Please be reminded that above stated timing of service may change in occasion, such as weather condition.
  • Passengers can reserve special inflight allergy-friendly meals in advance.
    JAL takes utmost care when preparing meals for passengers with food allergies, however, there may be cases where minute amount of allergens are detected in the meal.
    Please ask our cabin attendants if you have any concerns about our allergy information for our inflight meals.
    There is a limited amount of information that we can provide during the flight. Please choose your meals at your own discretion.

From November 1, 2023, the supervising menus created by 5 cutting-edge chefs who have achieved excellent results in the past at "RED U-35" Japan’s largest cooking competition that seeks out young talents of the new era, will be sequentially introduced.The menu will be presented in a unique way, incorporating "Ingredients of the Future 50" as well as the aroma, texture, and appearance of each ingredient when the lid is opened.

 

FUKUOKA "Syn" Chef OHNO Naoto

Born in Fukuoka.After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in New York, he worked at the Michelin three-star restaurant "Alinea" in Chicago, as well as "De Librije" in the Netherlands, "Fäviken" in Sweden, and as a sous chef at the Michelin one-star restaurant "recte" in Japan. He have honed his skills in a variety of restaurants both domestically and internationally. In June 2023,he opened his own restaurant "Syn" in his hometown of Fukuoka.

    Pour over Sticky Barley Rice Chop Suey set that brings out the flavor of vegetables

    MUJI's "Happo-sai for Rice" originally arranged for JAL's inflight menu.

    Enjoy the balance of the ingredients, with vegetables, pork, and quail eggs seasoned with ginger and stewed in light soup.

    Menu supervised by NAMAE Shinobu, grand chef of French restaurant "L'Effervescence" .

    Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa.
    After graduating the department of political science at university, Chef Namae became a sous chef at Michel Bras Toya Japan in Hokkaido and The Fat Duck in the U.K. In 2010 he opened L'Effervescence in Tokyo, recently awarded three stars and the new green star award in the 2023 MICHELIN Guide Tokyo.

    "SKYOASIS" has been redesigned based on the concept of environmental friendliness, with a 10.3% reduction in CO2 emissions* during production by reducing the number of inks used when printing the box and reviewing the contents.
