JAL has brought onboard OKOSHI Motohiro, who has made his mark far and wide as a wine taster and wine director. Under his advisement, JAL have carefully selected wines that we invite you to pair with your meal and enjoy.

Some selections were awarded Gold, Silver medals from the world knowned wine competition, International Wine Challenge.

Lelarge-Pugeotis a Champagne

Lelarge-Pugeotis a Champagne producer certified Biodynamic Agriculture by Demeter, adamantly adhering to natural farming practices. This Champagne undergoes an extensive 36-month maturation period in the bottle, resulting in delicate and creamy bubbles that give a lasting impression. Tradition Extra-Brut presents nuances of citrus and peach, with toasty aromas. Delight in the brisk notes of minerality along with almond flavors that create complexity and fresh acidity.

Château Mercian Aiakane〔Merlot, Muscat Bailey A, others〕

Château Mercian's wines are consistently evaluated highly at international wine competitions in recent years, solid evidence of the high quality of Japan's wines. Nuances of red cherry and hints of leaf mulch, with pleasant green notes offering a refreshing sensation. Delight in Aiakane's clear palate and approachability, while experiencing its kaleidoscope of flavors.

STEPP Pinot Noir *8* 2022 (Pinot Noir)

Gerd Stepp is a winemaker with a globally recognized reputation producing wines in Germany's Pfalz region. Aromas of black cherry and clove, and the translucent, lustrous bouquet are this wine's trademarks. Delight in the fine tannins and fresh acidity as the captivating fruitiness envelops your palate.

We are proud to serve you onboard our Japanese sake selection, including seasonal sake such as "HAKURAKUSEI" and "ZAKU", as well as popular shochu (distilled liquor) choices such as NakaNaka, and Tsurusora.

Japanese sake list

"Sha-raku," Limited Edition Junmai Daiginjo, JAL Original (Fukushima) Alc 16%

This Junmai Daiginjo was created exclusively for JAL passengers using Gohyakumangoku Rice grown in Fukushima Prefecture and polished to 50%. Sense the wafting elegant aromas evoking bananas and pears, the velvety palate and fresh, clean sweetness and acidity. Sha-raku continues to delight, exhibiting a refined afternote with a crisp edge.

Ugo-no-Tsuki Junmai Daiginjo Betsu-atsurae (Hiroshima) Alc 16%

A limited-edition sake created exclusively for JAL's internationalflights. Ugo-no-Tsuki is brewed using a newsake rice variety "Moe Ibuki" from Hiroshima Prefecture, along with "Hakutsuru Nishiki" from Hyogo Prefecture. The water used in the Shikomi process comesfrom the subterranean flow off Mt. Noro, located in the Setonaikai (Seto Inland Sea) National Park. Ugo-no-Tsuki features an aroma reminiscent of white grapes and lychee, with an elegant, crystal-clear sweetness. A sake experience you can only enjoy in the stratosphere on JAL!

This is a non-alcoholic wine-tasting beverage made from 100% French Chardonnay which has been served at Nobel Prize award ceremonies in the past. In addition to the organic production method, it has also acquired various certifications such as JAS, Vegan, and Halal, allowing a variety of customers to enjoy its authentic sparkling wine-like taste.
