We have specially blended this exceptional coffee sourced from Mi Cafeto’s three Partner Farms in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Tanzania, dedicated to preserve this unique flavor.

The Golden Triangle region of northern Thailand, bordering Myanmar and Laos, is home to six ethnic minorities who once made their living growing opium. This practice destroyed the region's forests, and as a result the topsoil was washed away into the rivers during the rainy season, creating a vicious cycle of flooding downstream. The royal Mae Fah Luang Foundation, established to help the poor,  launched the Doi Tung Project in 1988 to restore the region's forests. Men from the local ethnic minority communities were employed in reforestation efforts, which paved the way for macadamia nut and shade-grown coffee farming.

The project also set up pottery and textile factories and vocational training for women. Today, opium has been eliminated from the region, and the forests are restored to their former splendor.
