Pay by e JAL Point

Tickets reserved through the JAL website or by phone through the JAL call center (Domestic Reservation and Information) may be paid for in part* or in full with e JAL Points.

To use e JAL Points, you must be the JMB member or a spouse, child, grandchild, sibling, parent, or grandparent of the member.

  • The remaining balance must be paid by credit card.

Miles cannot be converted to e JAL Points in the middle of a purchase, so please convert them before you start your purchase.

Payment deadline

20 minutes prior to the booked flights's departure

  • If the ticket has a purchase deadline, that deadline applies

How to use

STEP1

Book a flight ticket

Book your domestic flight ticket through the JAL website or JAL call center (Domestic Reservation and Information).

If the points-holder (member whose e JAL Points are used) is traveling

Log in to the points-holder's account before booking.

If the points-holder is not traveling

Book as someone other than the points-holder.

(If a traveler is also a JMB member, do not log in; enter the traveler's membership number alongside his/her name.)

STEP2

Pay by e JAL Point

After completing your booking, choose the "e JAL Points and Credit card" tab on the purchase screen and enter the number of e JAL points to apply to the purchase.

When booking as someone other than the points-holder, enter the points-holder's membership number and password on this screen.

The amount can be set for each traveler in 10 yen increments.
Click or tap the "Confirm Amount" button to calculate the amount of e JAL Points to apply.

If a balance remains after applying points, please enter credit card details in the space provided.

STEP3

Purchase completed

Once the purchase is complete, a "Purchase completed" screen will appear. Please be sure to write down the Order number (for flights departing on/before April 11, 2023) or Ticket number (for flights departing on/after April 12, 2023) on this screen.

  • If the paying member is traveling and pays the full amount with e JAL Points, no order number will be displayed. Please be sure to bring the paying member's JMB/JAL Card on the date of travel.

STEP4

Prepare things needed for the flight

Passengers will need to have their 2D barcodes (e-ticket itinerary/receipt) or JMB/JALCARD ready for boarding.

STEP5

Board the flight at the airport

JAL Touch & Go boarding (no need to check-in)

You do not need to check in at the airport. Upon arriving at the airport, please go directly to the security checkpoint.

To board, tap your 2D barcode or JMB Card/JALCARD to the boarding information reader at the security checkpoint and the gate.

  • If you are using an order number or ticket number to check in, please check in at the airport.

Check-in at the airport

Please complete check-in procedures using a Self Service Check-in and Ticketing Kiosk.

Notes on making payments by e JAL Point

Receipts

You may obtain the receipt from Self service check-in and ticketing KIOSK at the airport, airport ticketing counter, or use the Website Receipt Display Service (display and print receipt online).

Booking changes and cancellations

You may cancel your booking through JAL website or JAL call center.
To change your booking, please contact JAL call center.

Refunds

e JAL Points will be credited back to the paying member.

  • Any amount paid by credit card will be refunded via the user's credit card company.
  • Please request refunds by the prescribed deadline.

Other

  • Payment may not be possible as a result of certain booking details (number of passengers, itinerary, fares, number of characters in passengers' names, etc.) or of the time of day the payment attempt is made.
  • If your JMB card/JALCARD or the Order Number cannot be presented on the day of travel, the boarding pass cannot be collected. In such a case, passenger will be required to purchase a new ticket at the airport.
