How to change your booking when flight disruption is expected due to aircraft maintenance or other reasons within the our control

We deeply apologize to all passengers whose travel plans are affected by the flight delay or cancellation.

Change to other JAL Group flight

  • Change is permitted ONCE only for fares that do not permit reservation change. (e.g. SAKITOKU, TOKUBIN, etc.)

Making Changes via the JAL Website

You can make changes on the JAL website if you used one of the following fares and payment methods.

  • If you purchased the ticket through a travel agent, please contact them directly.

Delay: 20 minutes before booked flight's departure time

Cancellation: End of booked flight's departure date

Making Changes by Phone or at the Counter

If you are using a fare that does not allow changes via the JAL website or the deadline for changes via the JAL website has passed, please use one of the following methods to make changes before the expiration date.

Cancel your flight booking

Cancel only your booking via the JAL website (convert to open).

STEP2

Book a non-JAL Group flight

Please book your flight at other airlines (*1) within the validity.

  • Only applicable to carriers (ANA) which hold Multilateral Interline Traffic Agreements with JAL.

STEP3

Collect your ticket at JAL airport counter

On departure date

We will endorse your ticket to the airline concerned prior to your new departure.
After you collect the ticket, please complete the boarding procedure at the airline's counter.
As necessary procedures are required at both airlines, please arrive at the airline counters as early as possible.

Making Changes by Phone or at the Counter

Please contact JAL call center or domestic ticketing counter (city/airport) for booking cancellation and further assistance for the necessary procedures.

STEP2

Book a non-JAL Group flight

Please book your flight at other airlines (*) within the validity.

  • Only applicable to carriers (ANA) which hold Multilateral Interline Traffic Agreements with JAL.

STEP3

Collect your ticket at JAL airport counter

On departure date

We will endorse your ticket to the airline concerned prior to your new departure.

Change to other public transport

If you want to change to other public transport, we will refund the total fare charge of the affected flight sector.
You will need to book or purchase the ticket of other public transport by yourself.

If the fare of your flight ticket is higher

 total charges of the flight ticket will be refunded

Within 2 days from the original departure date (of the last flight sector)

  1. If you purchased the ticket through a travel agent, please contact them directly disregarding the fare types.

If the fare and form of payment of your ticket are not listed above, please contact JAL Domestic Reservation and Information Desk.

You will need to book or purchase the ticket of other public transport by yourself.

If the fare of other public transport is higher

 We will refund the fare difference
