JMB Diamond is awarded to JMB members who meet either of the following criteria on JAL Group and oneworld alliance flights flown during the preceding calendar year from January to December:

  • JMB member who has accrued at least 100,000 FLY ON Points (including 50,000 FLY ON Points on JAL Group flights), or
  • JMB member who has attained at least 120 flights (including at least 60 JAL Group flights) and 35,000 FLY ON Points
  • Only flights that are flown on fares eligible for JMB mileage accrual will count toward the total number of flights qualifying for FLY ON status.
  • JMB Diamond services cannot be used in conjunction with JAL Global Club services.

JMB FLY ON members will also receive special services with oneworld alliance airlines.


JMB Diamond members will be able to enjoy oneworld Emerald services.

Service usage period

First Services

Services that are available to members around one week after status qualification

Second Services

Services that are available to members once your FLY ON status card arrives or your membership status is reflected in the JAL app until March 31 of the second year following status qualification

Third Services

Services that are available from April 1 of the year following status qualification

  • Third Services are available only to JMB Diamond and JGC Premier members.
  • All services will be available until March 31 of the second year following status qualification.
  • FLY ON membership cards will arrive around two to three weeks after qualification. Depending on where the member lives and for members living in regions other than Japan, circumstances may dictate that FLY ON status cards will arrive later than planned.

Dedicated Reservation Desk

JMB Diamond members are invited to use the dedicated DIAMOND/PREMIER Reservation Desk to book flights on JAL Group airlines.

  • Please see the back of your Status Card for details about the dedicated booking desk.
  • If you are registered with a region other than Japan, please contact the JMB Center of your membership region.

Priority Waitlist

When your preferred JAL Group flight is fully booked, you will receive the highest waitlist priority based on your fare type.
For fully booked flights on oneworld alliance airlines, priority waitlist will also apply at the respective oneworld alliance airline's reservation center.

  • Only available when flying on fares eligible for waitlist.
  • Waitlist requests for domestic flights can be accepted until 24 hours prior to flight departure.

JMB DIAMOND Award Tickets

When no award seats are available, JMB Diamond members can redeem their miles for any available seat by deducting double the miles required for a standard JAL Group Airlines Domestic Award Ticket.

Eligible period JAL Group Domestic Flights departing on/before April 11, 2023 (boarding date)
Reservation commencement date Reservations for JAL Group domestic flights are available from 9:30 (Japan time), 330 days and 4 days (same calendar day as the flight date) prior to departure.
  • There are no restricted travel dates.
  • Due to changes to the domestic fare system, this service will be discontinued ending with flights departing April 11, 2023.

Advance Front Seat Assignment Service

Eligible members can select a front seat in advance on a priority basis when booking JAL Group flights.

The service is available from the reservation commencement date up to 48 hours before the flight departure time.
International flights
Requests are accepted from the reservation commencement date until 24 hours prior to flight departure.
* Please note that seat selection requests will also be accepted for any front seats that are still available after the end of the request period.
  • Only available when flying on fares eligible for advance front seat assignment.
  • Seat assignment requests will also be accepted for traveling companions flying with you on the same reservation record.
  • Your seat assignment may be adjusted if your JMB FLY ON membership qualification is changed before the departure of a flight using this service.
  • The number of front seats are limited, and may be unavailable for seat selection depending on the type of aircraft used.
  • Not available when flying on code-share flights operated by other airlines.

Domestic Flights Advance Booking Service

You can book JAL Group domestic flight tickets and JAL Group domestic award tickets via the JAL website or phone prior to the normal booking start date and time.
