Transfers from JAL → other international airlines
If you already have a boarding pass for your next flight, you can proceed directly to your departure gate.
If you do not have a boarding pass, you need to check in for your connecting flight at the transfer counter.
The location of the transfer counter may vary depending on the airline you are using.
From October 28 to November 12, 2025, due to airport facility renovation, transfer counters will be relocated to center of Concourse D at 2nd floor, during this period.
Please refer to the airport signage for directions.

The arrival gate is on the 2nd floor.

- Please be advised that you are responsible for all transportation costs.
- The transfer between Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) necessitates a minimum of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
If your baggage is not checked through from Japan to your final Thai domestic destination
- After completing immigration procedure in Bangkok, collect your baggage and proceed to the domestic check-in counters on level 4 to check in for your connecting flight.
- Please note that baggage through-acceptance may vary depending on the destination, connecting airline and type of ticket.
Transfers from Thai domestic flights → JAL
Passengers traveling from below airports with connection from Bangkok Airways (PG) to Japan Airlines (JL) flight
Airport:
Phuket (HKT), Chiang Mai (CNX), Chiang Rai (CEI), Samui (USM), Krabi (KBV), Trat (TDX)
- At each airport, please check-in at international terminal or Bangkok Airways' international check-in counter.
- It is possible to check baggage through from departing airport to JL flights.
- You may finish passport control at above each airport.
- You may proceed to international terminal departure area directly at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport (BKK).
- Please note that separate tickets are not eligible.
If JAL check-in and immigration procedures are available at the domestic departure airports
- Please check with the operated domestic airlines whether JAL check-in and immigration procedure are available at the domestic airports or not.
- You may proceed to international terminal departure area directly at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport (BKK.)
- Please carefully confirm with the operated domestic airlines that your check-in baggage is checked through to JAL flights directly.
If JAL check-in and immigration procedures have not been carried out at departure
- After arriving in Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport), please retrieve your baggage and check in at the JAL check-in counter on departures level 4.
