JAL Mileage Bank launched our preferred partnership programme with Marriott Bonvoy®,
on July 14, 2026.
Overview
Enrich your journeys through the Marriott Bonvoy and Japan Airlines preferred partnership. All members are eligible to receive benefits upon linking accounts.
Marriott Bonvoy members receive FLY ON Points towards higher FLY ON Status.
JMB members receive one or more of the following benefits: a Marriott Bonvoy status match, bonus points, and more.
What is a status match?
A status match recognises the elite status you already hold in one programme by granting you a corresponding status or benefits in the other. Eligibility depends on your tier at the time you register.
Not every tier receives a status match. Some tiers are instead offered an accelerator challenge — a faster path to status that requires a set number of Qualifying Nights.

- Valid nights are limited to stays at qualifying rates at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels completed within 6 months of linking your JAL Mileage Bank and Marriott Bonvoy membership accounts.
- Elite status will remain valid for a minimum of 12 months from the date the status becomes effective.
Timing of Benefits
Elite status will be granted within 6 weeks of successful account linkage.
Marriott Bonvoy points and elite status earned upon completing the stay requirements will also be credited within 6 weeks after meeting the conditions.
From the second year onward, benefits will be provided around spring each year.

Timing of Benefits
FLY ON Points will be credited within 6 weeks of successful account linkage.
From the second year onward, FLY ON Points will be credited around spring each year.
How to Link Your Accounts
- Click "Link Now" on this page.
- Click "Link Accounts" on the dedicated Marriott Bonvoy website.
- Log in using your Marriott Bonvoy membership number and password.
- Log in using your JAL Mileage Bank membership number and password to link both accounts.
- Agree to the terms and conditions for both JAL Mileage Bank and Marriott Bonvoy to complete the process.
- Account linkage requires active membership in both JAL Mileage Bank and Marriott Bonvoy.
- Accounts can only be linked between your own personal JAL Mileage Bank and Marriott Bonvoy accounts (limited to one account each). Linking accounts under different names or combining multiple accounts is not permitted.
- The status match will be determined based on your elite status on the exact day of registration. Any subsequent changes to your status within the remaining calendar year will not affect the points or status you are scheduled to receive during that same year.
- Once you have successfully applied, your benefits will be renewed automatically for the following years.
