Handling at the launch of the JAL Life Status Program
Services eligible for earning Life Status Points
When you meet the crediting criteria established for eligible services, that qualifying activity will be automatically converted to Life Status Points - which will then be credited to your account.
Crediting of Life Status Points is based on the number of flights traveled for domestic flights and the sector miles traveled for international flights.

- Flights traveled on fares eligible for earning miles.
JAL international miles are calculated as 100% of sector miles, regardless of the mileage accumulation rate for flight miles.
When you use lifestyle services
Crediting of Life Status Points is based on the miles earned for using eligible services.
What are lifestyle services?
Lifestyle services refer to the wide variety of services offered by the JAL Group for everyday situations other than flights.

- JALCARD shopping miles (including miles credited for JALCARD contract stores and miles JALCARD Shopping Miles Premium as well as add-on miles) will count toward Life Status Points.
- Purchases made through JAL Mall’s Post-flight In-flight Shopping (Japanese only) are ineligible for Life Status Points.
Participation in JAL Green Life Miles (available to customers living in Japan only)
The JAL Group is working to help solve social issues through its business activities in the aim to contribute to building a sustainable society. As part of this initiative, customers who participate in JAL's environmentally friendly actions and earn Green Life Miles will receive 1 Life Status Point.
- Up to 1 Life Status Point will be credited per customer per year.
- After Green Life Miles are earned, the associated Life Status Points will be credited around the end of January of the following year.
Services eligible for earning Life Status Points will be expanded around spring 2024
