JAL e TABI KEIKAKU has been added to the services eligible for earning Life Status Points. (December 2, 2024)
Life Status Points are lifetime activity points that are credited for using eligible services, and are used as the metric for JMB elite benefits, JAL Global Club enrollment, and other services and benefits.
- Unlike miles, Life Status Points cannot be redeemed for awards.
- Life Status Points are credited separately from miles and FLY ON Points.
- Life Status Points accumulate over your lifetime for as long as you maintain your JAL Mileage Bank membership and do not expire.
- Life Status Points are credited to an individual's Life Status Points account. Points cannot be combined or inherited by family members.
- For JAL NEOBANK, JAL Payment Port Co. Ltd. acts as the bank agent with SBI Sumishin Net Bank as its affiliated bank.
- JAL asset management is a service available to customers with an intermediary account for JAL Payment Port's financial products.
Services eligible for earning Life Status Points
When you meet the crediting criteria established for eligible services, that qualifying activity will be automatically converted to Life Status Points - which will then be credited to your account.
Crediting of Life Status Points is based on the number of flights traveled for domestic flights and the sector miles traveled for international flights.

- Flights traveled on fares eligible for earning miles and the associated flight miles must be credited to your JMB account.
JAL international miles are calculated as 100% of sector miles, regardless of the mileage accumulation rate for flight miles.
- Handling of Japan domestic flight sectors included in international tickets
Japan domestic flight sectors included in international tickets will be handled as JAL international flight activity only when traveling on Jetstar Japan (GK) - operated flights with JAL flight numbers.
When you use lifestyle services
Crediting of Life Status Points is based on the miles earned for using eligible services or other relevant metric.
What are lifestyle services?
Lifestyle services refer to the wide variety of services offered by the JAL Group for everyday situations other than flights.
Life Status Points are credited for earned miles that are reflected on/after January 1, 2024.

- JALCARD shopping miles (including miles credited for JALCARD contract stores and JALCARD Shopping Miles Premium as well as add-on miles) will count toward Life Status Points. Flight bonus miles are ineligible for Life Status Points.
- JAL Pay shopping miles will count toward Life Status Points. Bonus miles credited via JAL Pay promotions are ineligible for Life Status Points.
- Purchases made through JAL Mall’s Post-flight Inflight Shopping (Japanese only) are ineligible for Life Status Points.
- The standard 1 mile credited for every JPY 100 spent on JAL Mall purchases will count toward Life Status Points.
Bonus miles credited via JAL Mall promotions are ineligible for Life Status Points.
Life Status Points are credited for service transactions reflected on/after April 1, 2024.
- Must be registered (enrolled) with JAL Wellness & Travel between the first to the final day of the month. Free trial period is also eligible for earning Life Status Points.
- From April 1, 2024, miles earned from shopping on JAL Mall's Post-flight Inflight Shopping (Japanese only) will also count toward Life Status Points.
- The following services are eligible for earning Life Status Points:
・JAL Dynamic Package (Japan and international)
・International package tours booked via JAL e Travel Plaza
・Study abroad language programs with JAL flights (Japanese only)
- Donation amount from January to December every year (including January through March 31, 2024) will count toward Life Status Points. Donation amounts less than JPY 50,000 will not be carried over to the following year’s total donation amount.
- Bonus miles credited via promotions are ineligible for Life Status Points.
- JAL Pay currency miles will count toward Life Status Points. Bonus miles credited via promotions are ineligible for Life Status Points.
- New loans executed in/after April 2024 are eligible for Life Status Points.
JAL Home Loan is a SBI Sumishin Net Bank service in which JAL Payment Port acts as the bank agent.
- Service launched on May 14, 2024. Customers who open a new account after service launch are eligible for earning Life Status Points.
JAL asset management is a service available to customers with an intermediary account for JAL Payment Port's financial products.
- Service launched on June 19, 2024. Customers who open a new subscribers after service launch are eligible for earning Life Status Points.
- Service launched on August 29, 2024.
- Service launched on December 2, 2024. Surrendered policies and the total sum value of multiple policies are ineligible for Life Status Points.
Please select a fund value of JPY 300,000 or more per policy to be eligible to earn Life Status Points.
Life Status Points will be credited to JMB accounts in October for policies that mature between April and September and in April for policies that mature between October and March.
Participation in JAL Green Life Miles (available to customers living in Japan only)
The JAL Group is working to help solve social issues through its business activities in the aim to contribute to building a sustainable society. As part of this initiative, customers who participate in JAL's environmentally friendly actions and earn Green Life Miles will receive 1 Life Status Point.
- Up to 1 Life Status Point will be credited per customer per year.
- After Green Life Miles are earned, the associated Life Status Points will be credited around the end of January of the following year.
Crediting of Life Status Points to shareholders who exercise their voting rights
Japan Airlines Co. Ltd. shareholders *1 who exercise their voting rights at the annual Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders will be credited Life Status Points based on the number of shares owned. More information can be found on the page below.
- Individual shareholders owning at least 100 shares as of March 31 who exercise their voting rights at the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders and retain the same shareholder number as of September 30 of the same year will be eligible for Life Status Points.
