Lounge e-coupon Award
What are lounge e-coupons?
Lounge e-coupons are electronic vouchers that can be used to access a Sakura Lounge before flight departure when traveling on JAL Group domestic or international flights. One lounge e-coupon is valid for one lounge visit.
Who is eligible for awards
JAL Mileage Bank members living outside Japan who have earned the required number of Life Status Points under the JAL Life Status Program are eligible to request this award. Lounge e-coupons can be used only by the eligible member who requested the award.

- 250 - 499 Life Status Points
- 500 - 1,499 Life Status Points
Eligible flights
JAL Group domestic and international flights
- Lounge access is available only when traveling on JAL Group flights.
- Lounge access is not available when traveling on codeshare flights operated by other airlines with JAL flight numbers or flights operated by JAL with other airlines' flight numbers.

- Lounge coupons cannot be used to access domestic Diamond Premier Lounges, international JAL First Class Lounges, and international common lounges.
Required miles
2,000 miles
- Requests for this award can be made up to one time per service year (from April to the following March).
However, members with between 250 and 499 Life Status Points in their account who have requested this award can make a new award request if they attain the 500 points milestone in the same service year.

- For award requests made in March, please select whether the validity will be March 31 of the current service year or March 31 of the following service year.

How to request and use awards
Award requests are accepted via the JAL website only.
STEP 1 Request an award
Please submit your request via the JAL website.
After logging in to your JMB account, go the JAL Mileage Bank top page and select Lounge e-coupon Award in "Popular awards" under "Redeem your miles".
After submitting your award request, the issued lounge e-coupons can be viewed from "Available lounges" on the JAL Mileage Bank top page of the JAL website (PC).
STEP 2 Request an award
Domestic Sakura Lounges
To enter a lounge, please hold your boarding medium (2D barcode on your boarding pass or e-ticket itinerary/receipt, IC card, etc.) over the barcode reader at the lounge entrance.
International Sakura Lounges
When entering the lounge, please present your boarding medium to the lounge staff and mention that you will be using a lounge e-coupon.
About lounge access
- Lounge access is available only to the member to whom the lounge coupon was issued to. Lounge coupons cannot be used by traveling companions.
- Lounges cannot be accessed if your JMB membership number was not provided when booking your flight or when traveling on inclusive tour fares (such as tours) for which JMB membership numbers cannot be registered.
- Lounge access is available only at your departure airport.
- Please note that lounge access may not be available when lounges are fully occupied.
Note
- Lounge access is available only to the member to whom the lounge coupon was issued to. Please note that this scope of use differs from standard awards.
- Once redeemed, miles cannot be returned to the original account.
- Members registered with JAL Family Club can redeem miles from the family mileage pool.
