How to use the service on JAL International Flights

Steps to take before flight departure

Step 1

Please switch your device to Airplane Mode* before the cabin doors are closed for departure.

  • This setting has different names depending on the device and carrier. Other names include Self Mode, OFF Mode, Offline Mode, Flight Mode, and Personal Mode.

Using the service during your flight

Step 2

Turn on Wi-Fi on your device.

Please configure your device as follows.

iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch
Ensure that "Settings" ⇒ "Airplane Mode" is enabled, then turn on "Wi-Fi"
Android Ensure that "Settings" ⇒ "Wireless & Networks" ⇒ "Airplane Mode" is enabled, then turn on "Wi-Fi"

Step 3

On your "Connect to wireless network" screen, please select "JapanAirlines".

Step 4

When you open your browser, the In-flight Wi-Fi site will automatically be displayed.
Enter the user name and password provided to you and enjoy your in-flight internet connection.

  • In-flight Wi-Fi service is offered using communication satellites. For this reason, your network connection may be unreliable or unavailable, depending on the time and location of the aircraft.
  • Some lags in speed might occur when downloading or streaming videos. Wi-Fi network may be congested due to heavy demand.
