Savor fresh, handmade sushi prepared before your eyes.
With its floor-to-ceiling wood finishing, Sushi Tsurutei exudes a sense of quiet elegance. At the heart of this stately space, sushi is meticulously prepared by professional chefs. Complete your exquisite dining experience with a choice of sake or our rich selection of alcoholic beverages. Indulge in an authentic Japanese experience before departing Japan.
Lantern-shaped lights gently illuminate the wooden elements in a relaxing warm glow. Natural light enters the large window to frame the comfortable seating below. The area is divided by floor-to-ceiling screens resembling Japanese bamboo fences. The lacquer-painted art piece, which fills the wall on the far side, adds a finishing Japanese touch.
Indulge in a rich variety of alcoholic beverages, including the coveted Laurent-Perrier champagnes. The elegant selection is prepared with the assistance of Motohiro Okoshi, a qualified sommelier and wine-taster, and Koichi Hasegawa, an internationally influential sake critic and president of Hasegawasaketen.
Sushi Tsurutei offers a weekly rotation of three types of sushi. The selection of quality ingredients depends on the season’s offerings and may include tuna belly, spear squid, simmered conger eel, flounder, or red shrimp. Vegetarian rolls are also available upon request.
Complete your Japanese experience with a bowl of beautifully prepared ramen. Savor the JAL Original Tonkotsu Ramen, a rich pork bone broth accented with spicy miso and mustard greens. Depending on the season, the AFURI Yuzu-Shio Ramen or Manpuku Chinese-style Ramen is also available for selection.
Dine in a bright and airy, whimsical space.
End-to-end windows allow natural light to fill the room, creating a bright and airy space. The dining area features whimsical elements like a checkered floor and quirky food-themed wallpaper. A wide selection of food is available at the counter. Be sure to try the popular JAL Special Original Beef Curry.
The selection includes a variety of roasted meats, Japanese meal sets, fresh salad, sandwiches, pasta, desserts, and more.
The Manpuku Chinese-style Ramen has a history dating back to the Taisho Era in 1910s. It is made with a special soy-based soup, topped with a thinly sliced triangular egg omelet, spinach, and seasoned bamboo shoots. The noodles are made exclusively for the lounge. Savor the rich umami flavors before departing Japan.
Enjoy a wide selection of drinks, including our signature beverage, JAL Original Drink SKY TIME, and quality coffee from Mi Cafeto. Indulge in a rich collection of meticulously selected alcoholic beverages.
With natural light filling the room, the dining area feels spacious and comfortable. The perfect place to stretch your legs and enjoy a bowl of JAL Special Original Beef Curry before your next flight.
An exclusively unique, luxurious retreat.
The RED SUITE, designed to be distinctively and purposely different from the other areas within the lounge, provides a premium, peaceful sanctuary. Contemporary furniture complemented by dark wood accents envelops the room in opulence. For added privacy and relaxation, the RED SUITE is divided into four zones – the Library, the Gallery, the Retreat, and the Bar.
The Library is steeped in aviation history and culture, and features a small exhibition from JAL archives, including an actual pilot’s bag from the 1950s. This space is also home to JAL’s unique Shoe Shine Service – a collaboration with JOHN LOBB, a British luxury manufacturer and retailer of exclusive bespoke shoes.
At JAL, we pay great attention to detail and serve only the best. Enjoy a rich variety of alcoholic beverages, including the coveted Laurent-Perrier champagnes and an elegant selection of sake, in a range of exquisite RIEDEL glassware. We recognize that the shape of the glassware can enhance the aroma and correct the temperature of a beverage, and as such would like to make your experience even more special.
When designing the RED SUITE, we envisioned a space for guests who truly appreciate travel. Decorated with vintage suitcases and old photographs from the JAL archives, the area pays homage to voyages of the past and inspires the beginning of new journeys.
The Retreat is a dedicated game space. Pull up a chair and have a round of chess directly on a table imprinted with chessboards or play a game of foosball. With hanging lights resembling top hats, the quirky room is a great place to socialize before your next flight.
Lounge and JAL's SALON
A grand view befitting First Class.
Designed by Ryu Kosaka from Aoyama Nomura Design (A.N.D.), the Lounge encapsulates the perfect balance of modern Japanese design and the traditional Japanese spirit. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows provide a perfect view of the runway, adding to a spatial design of timeless quality.
JAL’s SALON, located on the 5th floor, is a separate space that serves Japanese artisanal beverages. Choose from a selection of craft beer, premium whiskey, gin, and other beverages. A selection of Japanese tea, curated monthly by EN TEA, a Japanese tea specialist, is also available. Pair your choice of Japanese tea with exquisite Japanese confections for the perfect Japanese experience.
The views in the Lounge are exceptional. It overlooks the runways and provides a panoramic view of the aircraft as they take off.
The walkway leading to JAL’s Table is framed by decorative Japanese folding screens featuring such elements as delicate cherry blossoms and majestic cranes. The transitional space creates a calming environment that will heighten your sensory experience.
Ryu Kosaka from Aoyama Nomura Design (A.N.D.) is a highly renowned Japanese interior designer who developed a "room to room" concept. Each area within the lounge is uniquely styled, creating an all-encompassing space for every guest. This room features a world-map-inspired art piece by Japanese calligrapher, Souun Takeda.
The JAL First Class Lounge is conveniently located on the 4th and 5th floors of Terminal 3 in Haneda Airport. In 2014, the lounge was refurbished, creating a spatial and elegant environment. The “room to room” concept allowed for themed areas with different styles and furnishings, allowing guests to move around and select their preferred spaces.
