Refunding your ticket

Application at JAL Contact Center for International Flights or city counter

Within one year and 30 days from the issue date of EMD

• Before commencement of travel:
  The amount calculated by subtracting the cancellation charge (when set in the fare rule) from the paid fare and refundable taxes/fees/charges may be refunded.
•  
• After commencement of travel:
  The amount paid for the fare minus the fare applicable to the used segments,along with any refundable unused taxes/fees/charges may be refunded.

Unused fees/charges and refund amount as a result of ticket change may be refunded.

Refund will be made to the credit card account deducted at the time of purchase through the credit card company. The period of refund may differ depending on the acceptance date of refund, invoice closing date of the credit card company and the timing of refund processing, and may take approximately 2 months.
In addition, there may be situations where refund with handling charges subtracted is made after the entire amount is once deducted or where deduction and refund is carried out simultaneously and only the handling charge is deducted. For details, contact each credit card company.

After you complete the procedure at the JAL Contact Center, we will send an email to the email address registered for your reservation, containing a URL to proceed with the refund transfer. Please click or tap the URL, and follow the instructions to arrange the refund transfer to your account.

After you register your account information, the refund transfer will be made to your designated account on the same day or on the next business day. However, refunds may experience delays due to bank system failures, etc.
