If you were unable to complete online check-in or use a self-service check-in kiosk, please check in at a staffed counter.
What to know before checking in
The flight operating carrier is responsible for the operation of the codeshare flight, as well as airport and inflight services. Therefore, the procedures and services available at the airport and on board may vary depending on the flight.
For more details, please be sure to check with JAL International Flight Bookings or your travel agency before departure. Some services are subject to the conditions of the operating carrier.

Through check-in service
Your check-in including your baggage will be completed for your connecting flight at your departure airport. *1
You can collect your checked baggage at your final destination. *2
- System issues may prevent us from issuing a boarding pass for your connecting flight.

If you are connecting via the U.S., you are required to collect your checked baggage upon arrival in the U.S. and check it in again.
Also, if you have multiple international connections, we may not be able to check your baggage through to your final destination due to restrictions at the transfer airports.
Applicable itineraries
- Passengers can connect from JAL domestic flights to international flights at Tokyo (Narita), Tokyo (Haneda), Osaka (Kansai), and Nagoya (Chubu) airports.
- Connecting from JAL domestic flights to international flights operated by other oneworld member airlines at Tokyo (Narita), Tokyo (Haneda), Osaka (Kansai), and Nagoya (Chubu) airports
- Passengers with connections between Haneda and Narita or between Itami and Kansai are required to claim their baggage at the arrival airport and re-check it for their connecting flight.
Notices and Information
- The international connection counters at Sapporo - New Chitose, Osaka - Itami, and Fukuoka airports are crowded in the early morning hours, so please arrive at the airport as early as possible.
- Please check the following if you will be boarding a flight operated by a oneworld member airline.
