Shuri Castle Restoration Support Miles
On October 31, 2019, an intense fire spread across Shuri Castle, a symbol of Okinawa's heritage, destroying the majority of the historic structure.
The JAL Group would like to send its sincere condolences during this difficult time and has announced the decision to offer its support toward the restoration efforts in rebuilding the structure.
We also ask for cooperation from JMB members to support the restoration of Shuri Castle through Charity Miles.

Mileage for donation
Donations will be accepted in units of 3,000 miles on the JAL website.
- The JAL Group will donate the equivalent amount in cash (1 mile = ¥1) to the designated donation account described below
Charity organization
Your donations will go to a donation account that has been set up by Okinawa Prefecture to support the restoration of Shuri Castle.
- This Charity Mile donation will not be eligible for tax relief for JMB members or JAL.
