Upgrading to Premium Economy Class at the Airport
If there is availability on the flight, JAL/JTA may offer upgrades to "Premium Economy Class" with the following additional charge to an Economy Class ticket.
When upgrading to Premium Economy at the airport, mileage accrual will be based on the fare of your original Economy Class ticket, rather than Premium Economy.

- Only applicable for flights operated by JAL (flights operated by Japan Transocean Air for flights to Taipei).
- If you have booked a JAL-operated codeshare flight under another airline's flight number, eligibility depends on the ticketing airline:
- Upgrades on the day of departure are available for tickets booked or purchased through American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, or Iberia.
- Tickets booked or purchased through other airlines are not eligible for this upgrade.
- Supplementary services such as lounge access and mileage accumulation will be based on original ticket fares.
