Available Services

At Booking

Seat selection

* Seat selection is available up until 15 minutes prior to the departure time (except for some flights).
* Restrictions apply for some fare types and the number of seats available for pre-selection is limited.
* Pre-selected seats are subject to change without prior notice in case there is a change in the aircraft.

At Departing Airport

We have ‘Smile Message’, which is useful for passing children’s information to the cabin crew.
A child can be accompanied to the boarding gate by an adult.

In-Flight

JAL original give away item is available on board.

At Arriving Airport

Children will be escorted to the Arrival Hall by our staff.

  • To meet and greet, please wait near the sign.

Applicable to unaccompanied minor aged 6 or 7 years.
* Available for children up to 11 years old upon request.

Reservation

If Kids Travel Support Service is required then please let us know by calling JAL Domestic Reservations.
(If you have booked a flight online, then please make the request by phone.)

At the departing airport

Please check-in at JAL Smile Support Counter (*) at the departing airport. Please allow ample time for check-in.
(*) Information Counter at some airports.

An identification badge will be given at the time of check-in. Please put it on your chest.

‘Application of unaccompanied minor / Declaration of indemnity’ form must be filled in by the guardian.

  • * The form is also available for download via the internet in PDF format.

A person sending off a minor must escort the minor to the boarding gate. (For security reasons, only one person is allowed)
