Important Notices

Registering for SMS One-Time Password Notifications.

For your security, we're requiring JMB members with registered mobile phone numbers to set up SMS one-time password notifications.
This will be implemented gradually.
* For some customers, we ask for your cooperation in making your own settings.
(JAL Family Card member, minors, or customers who have not registered a mobile phone number)

What is a One-time Password

A one-time password is required when checking or changing your membership information, or when redeeming certain benefits.

A one-time password will be sent to the email address or mobile phone number you registered.

  • We may send notifications via SMS regardless of your notification settings.
  • Please check your contract information with your mobile carrier regarding communication charges associated with receiving one-time password.

Notice

  • If you receive multiple one-time password, only the most recently received one-time password is valid.
  • The one-time password is valid for 10 minutes. Once used, it cannot be used again.
  • When checking the SMS or email, please make sure not to close the one-time password entry screen.

Those who have not received a one-time password

If you are not receiving your one-time password, please update your registration with your current email address or mobile phone number.

Important Notice and Information Regarding Receipt

  • Please ensure that your registered email address is up to date.
  • One-time password will be sent from "jmb_confirmation@jal.com". Please check your email settings in advance.
  • If you have domain-specific reception settings enabled, please allow "@jal.com". Contact your email service provider for details on how to configure this setting.
  • Please ensure that the emails have not been automatically sorted into your spam or junk folder.
  • If your registered email address falls under any of the conditions (1 to 3) below, you may not receive your one-time password. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please contact us directly to update your registered email address.
  1. The email address starts with a period (.) or has a period immediately before the at sign (@)
    Example: .abcd@****.co.jp
    Example: abcd.@****.co.jp
  2. Consecutive periods (.) are used before the at sign (@)
    Example: ab..cd@****.co.jp
    Example: abcd..@****.co.jp
  3. The address contains characters other than alphanumeric characters and specific symbols
    * Permitted symbols: ( . ! # $ % & ' * + - / = ? ^ _ { | } ~ )
    Example: ab[cd@****.co.jp
    Example: ab@cd@****.co.jp

How to register a mobile phone number for SMS (Short Message Service)

We kindly ask that the member themselves contact the JAL Mileage Bank Center by phone.

Important Notice and Information Regarding Receipt

  • Please ensure that your registered mobile phone number is up to date.
  • One-time password will be sent from "03-5460-0124*". Please check your SMS reception and call restriction settings in advance.
    Contact your mobile carrier for details on how to configure these settings.
  • For SoftBank users, messages will arrive from "22471".
  • SMS may not be received due to connection status, insufficient memory, or use outside of Japan. Please contact your mobile carrier to verify your status.
  • It may take a few minutes to receive the message. Please wait a while and then check your SMS inbox.

How to register a mobile phone number for SMS (Short Message Service)

  • SMS (Short Message Service): A service that sends and receives short messages using mobile phone numbers.
  • You can use JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) more safely by setting up SMS authentication. Members who have already registered their email address are also recommended to register their mobile phone number for SMS again.
  • Please make sure you have your mobile phone ready before registering.

STEP 1

After logging in, click or tap "My account" from the JAL Mileage Bank top page and select "Change One-time Password notification destination".

STEP 2

Enter your mobile phone number for receiving SMS messages under "Changing your registered mobile phone number".

STEP 3

Authenticate your mobile phone number using the verification code sent to your mobile phone.

STEP 4

Set the notification destination to "Mobile Phone (SMS)".
