  • The service varies depending on the location of the lounge.
  • Entering lounge is accepted from 3 hours before your flight departure.
  • Considering the congestion in the lounge, the number of flights and the quantity of tickets sold per flight are limited.

Service Fee and Eligible Airport

Service fee varies by region to purchase airline tickets.

  • If you purchase in the other regions except for Japan and Canada, it will be paid in currency applicable to each region equivalent to the US dollar amount.

Eligibility

Passengers who meet the following conditions

  • JMB Diamond, JGC Premier, JGC, JMB Sapphire, oneworld status Emerald and Sapphire members do not need to purchase this service as they have the privilege to access the lounge.
    Please refer to here for the rules regarding an accompanying passenger and other information.

Eligible Tickets and Applicable Flights

  • JAL international tickets (Ticket numbers starting with 131)
  • JAL international flights operated by JAL (regular scheduled flights excluding JL8000 series flights) and departing from.
    - Haneda, Narita, Chubu, Honolulu, Bangkok
  • Economy Flex fare (booking class Y) holders to Seoul and Guam are also eligible for purchase.
  • Passengers on flight JL041 can use the lounge service free of charge and do not need to purchase this service.

Applicable Class

Economy class (B, H, K, M, L, V, S, N, Q, O, Z, G, T)

  • This service is not applicable to certain fares such as Group inclusive tour fares.
  • There may be cases where the inclusive tour purchased at the travel agent is not eligible for this service.

How to apply for the service

How to purchase

You can purchase the paid lounge service at the same time when you purchase an international airline ticket on JAL website, or you can purchase it from "Manage Booking" function on JAL website.
​To apply, please see the information below.

  • Your purchase should be made before Check-In (including Online Check in) is complete.
  • In case you use an award ticket, please purchase the service from the "Manage Booking" page on JAL website.
  • If you make a reservation only, this service cannot be purchased. Please make your purchase using the "Manage Booking" function on JAL website after ticket purchase.
  • Passengers who purchase or change airline tickets at other than JAL website and who meet following condition cannot purchase this service at JAL website. As there are conditions other than those listed below, please contact JAL contact center if you would like to purchase it.
  • In case passenger purchased ticket in a country other than the country where they commence the travel.
    Example : Purchase ticket departing from Japan at JAL contact center in America.
  • In case passenger changed their ticket in a country other than the country where they commence the travel.
    Example : Change ticket departing from United Kingdom at ticketing counter in Tokyo.

Entering lounge is accepted from 3 hours prior to your flight departure.
Please present your boarding pass at the reception desk.

Changes and Refunds (Voluntary)

Changes

Change on JAL website

If the new flight after the change is eligible for this service, please purchase again through the JAL website.
For refunds of purchased EMD before the change, please contact the JAL Contact Center.

Change at JAL contact center

If new flight after change is eligible for this service and lounge arrangements are available, we will adjust charge difference and process exchange of EMD to new flight (limited to within one year from EMD issue date).
If new flight is ineligible for this service (including cases where lounge arrangements are unavailable) or if you do not wish to use service, purchased EMD will be refunded.

  • Refund deadline: within 1 year and 30 days from the EMD issue date

Upgrades with miles or additional payment

Purchased EMD is refundable.
If you apply for an upgrade through the JAL Website or at the airport on the day of boarding, please contact the JAL Contact Center to request a refund.

Refunds

After purchasing this service, if no change or refund of ticket is made, purchased EMD is non-refundable.

If you are requesting a refund for your flight ticket

For a refund of the purchased EMD, please contact the JAL Contact Center after completing the ticket refund process.

Refund for purchased EMD will be processed together with the ticket refund procedures.

  • Refund deadline: within 1 year and 30 days from the EMD issue date

For customers who purchased tickets through travel agencies

For changes or refunds of tickets, please contact the travel agency where you purchased the ticket.
Since refunds for purchased EMD cannot be handled by travel agencies, please contact the JAL Contact Center for assistance.

Important notes for attention in case of changes in flight reservations due to reasons other than the passenger's convenience.

Passengers who purchased tickets through JAL

We will rearrange this service whenever possible.
If rebooking has been completed, no action is required from you.
Please note that rebooking may not be possible depending on the replacement flight. In such cases, purchased EMD will be refunded.

  • Refund deadline: within 1 year and 30 days from the EMD issue date

Please check the status of your requested service on the Booking Details page before boarding.

How to check services on the JAL website

If this service has been rearranged, it will be indicated in the flight information field on the reservation details screen.
Please check the status of service rearrangement at latest by one day before departure.

If you are requesting a refund for your flight ticket

Purchased EMD will also be refunded.

  • Refund deadline: within 1 year and 30 days from the EMD issue date

For customers who purchased tickets through travel agencies

We will rebook this service whenever possible.
Please note that rebooking may not be possible depending on the replacement flight. In such cases, purchased EMD will be refunded.
You can check the rebooking status on the reservation details page of the JAL website.

However, the re-arrangement status of this service must be confirmed in the following cases. Please contact JAL contact center at latest by one day before departure after rearranging your ticket at travel agency.

  • When flight change involves route change
  • If the flight is rearranged by travel agency

If you are requesting a refund for your flight ticket

For refunds of tickets, please contact the travel agency where you purchased the ticket.
Since refunds for purchased EMD cannot be handled by travel agencies, please contact the JAL Contact Center for assistance.
