1. Prohibited Carry-on Items

Recently revised Aviation Law of Japan broadly prohibits the carriage of any carry-on articles that could pose threat in the cabin as potential weapons. If you plan to travel with such items as golf clubs or any types of blades, you are required to put them in your checked baggage. Should any of the prohibited carry-on articles be found at a security point, you would have to go back to the check-in counter for checking them in, or alternatively to relinquish them at the security check spot. Some specifically designated items are prohibited by the law as neither carry-on nor checked baggage. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation. |
2. Check-in Time Limit
Please make sure to go through security check at least 15 minutes before the flight departure. When required, you would have to complete check-in procedures of yourself and your baggage before proceeding to a security point. You are expected to be at the boarding gate 10 minutes before the departure time at the latest. Failure in meeting the time may result in missing the flight.
3. Connection from Domestic to International Flights
When you take a domestic flight for connecting to an international flight, please make sure to present yourself to the domestic check-in counter at least 30 minutes before departure in order to allow us to prepare necessary onward arrangements.
4. Minimum Connecting Time
If your itinerary involves a connecting to another flight, be it domestic or international, minimum connecting time for the transfer must be secured at the time of your reservation.
Please be advised, however, that meeting the required minimum connecting time will not necessarily guarantee the connection under the exceptional circumstances such as delays or disruption of flights.
(1) The following minimum connecting time is required for domestic connections at the same airport.

(2) The following minimum connecting time is required for international connections from domestic flights at the same airport. If you have a connection to an international flight,
please arrive at the check-in counter at least 30 minutes prior to your flight's scheduled departure time to allow for specific check-in procedures.

5. Infants Not Occupying Seats
An infant under the age of 3 and not occupying a seat, although free of air fares, must possess a boarding pass for the flight of the accompanying adult. Please obtain an infant boarding pass at the time of check-in.
6. Smoke-Free Cabin Policy
All JAL Group flights are non-smoking. In addition, the use in the cabin of quasi smoking devices such as "e-cigarettes" is prohibited because they are liable to cause misunderstanding, and could be annoying to other passengers.
