Located about a five-minute bus ride from Amami Airport. This shop produces processed products made from the “poisonous snake Habu”, which is popular as a lucky charm that brings wealth, and all of the production is done by hand. In addition, the facility offers the “Habu to Ai-ma Show”, which is held three times a day at 11:00, 14:00, and 16:00, as well as a Habu Challenge Quiz and a Habu mascot production experience, making it a fun facility for both adults and children.

The cafe on the first floor of the West Court Amami WA TERRACE hotel offers a wide variety of drinks, including coffee and tea, as well as passion fruit and mango tea from Amami Oshima, giving you a tropical feel. It is a popular cafe that opens at 7am and attracts many tourists.

Mangroves are a symbol of Amami Oshima. On a canoe tour through a green tunnel where you can experience nature, you can encounter many of the creatures of Amami Oshima. There are also courses that even beginners can experience, making it a very popular activity that can be enjoyed by both adults and children.

In addition to guided canoeing, Mangrove Chaya offers a wide range of activities, including camping and nature tourism zone experiences. There are also walking trails and view decks in the surrounding area, allowing you to experience the nature of Amami.

At Kuninao Coast, with white sandy beaches, marine activities such as SUP are popular. You can also enjoy a　walking tour around the village, where traditional scenery such as rows of Fukugi trees remain. 

Also, “Miyakozaki” is a cape that juts out into the East China Sea, and is attractive for its unique scenery of low-growing Ryukyu bamboo growing all over the place. You can explore it on foot in about 30 minutes one way.

Okinawa Urajirogashi woods are said to produce the largest acorns in Japan. The trees are said to be 250 to 300 years old, and the "Okinawa Urajirogashi woods in Yamatohama," where these giant trees grow, are designated as a natural monument and are power spot where you can experience the nature of Amami.

The "Yamatohama “Boregura" is a raised floor storehouse that has been passed down since ancient times in Amami. It was built without using nails, and is designed to be disassembled when a fire occurs, and is also designed to protect the grain stored there. It is a designated tangible cultural property that is over 100 years old, and can only be seen in Yamato Village.
