Notice Regarding the Arrest of a Contracted Security Inspector at Haneda Airport

On September 13, an employee of the inspection company contracted by our company to conduct security checks at the domestic terminal security checkpoint of Haneda Airport Terminal 1 was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of stealing a customer’s cash.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience and concern caused not only to the affected customer but also to all customers using the JAL Group’s services and all parties involved.

Currently, the police investigation, including possible additional offenses,is ongoing. We continue to fully cooperate with the investigation.

If you believe you may have been affected or have any concerns, please report your case to the police, as an investigation by the police is required.

Furthermore, for customers whose damage has been confirmed, JAL will take appropriate action.
