On March 28, 2023, we obtained the CEIV Pharma certification (The Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics), a quality certification system for pharmaceutical transportation established by IATA, for handling at the warehouse and ramp at Narita Airport, as well as for arrival and departure flights. This makes us the first airline in Japan to have a large dedicated temperature-controlled warehouse for pharmaceuticals.

We have started a GDP-compliant road feeder service connecting Narita Airport, Haneda Airport, and Kansai International Airport with dedicated temperature-controlled trucks for pharmaceuticals since 2023. Furthermore, from 2024, we can provide GDP-compliant handling at the warehouse and ramp at Haneda Airport, enabling a consistent cold chain transportation connecting the major passenger flight hubs of Haneda Airport, Narita Airport, and Kansai Airport.

As a new initiative to improve the quality of pharmaceutical transportation, we are sequentially certifying airports among our domestic and international service hubs that have established GDP compliant quality management and handling systems as "Pharma Stations." We will continue to expand Pharma Stations both domestically and internationally, building a pharmaceutical transportation system that our customers can use with confidence.

We have introduced the largest GDP-compliant dedicated temperature-controlled pharmaceutical warehouse at Narita Airport.

Please also make use of the dedicated temperature-controlled pharmaceutical warehouse at Kansai International Airport, which adopts the latest temperature and humidity monitoring system similar to JAL MEDI PORT.

JAL also has a dedicated GDP-compliant warehouse for pharmaceuticals in the Rinku Town across from Kansai Airport.

We can provide temperature-controlled containers to suit your temperature control and budget needs.

We deploy experienced JAL staff who have received the same training at all airports, both domestic and international. Handling is conducted under the reliable supervision of JAL staff.

We create a "Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)" for the transportation process based on customer requests and conduct a review with the customer. Following this SOP, our staff will perform temperature checks and damage checks at each flow point at the airport.

Our specialized pharmaceutical transportation team, based at our headquarters, works closely with airports around the world to ensure reliable pharmaceutical transportation. Additionally, we continuously develop new services to meet the latest pharmaceutical transportation needs, always striving to meet our customers' demands.
