Introduction of Ticketing Service Fee for International Ticket
Effective from the 1st of April,2009, the Japan Airlines Group has implemented a ticketing service fee for International Ticket transactions carried out at Japan Airlines Reservations Centers and Ticketing and Airport Counters in Japan.
The fee is 2,100 Yen ( including tax ) for transactions made at the Reservations Center and 4.200 Yen ( including tax ) for transactions made at the ticketing or Airport Counters.
The Ticketing Service Fee is not applicable for ticket purchases made through the Japan Airlines home page and JAL Mileage Bank Award tickets and Tickets for infant not occupying the seat.

*Oneworld Explorer Round-the-World can be purchased through oneword home page (

Transactions the Ticketing Service Fee apply
- New Ticket purchases/issuances
- Exchange or Reissue of tickets necessitated by change of itinerary or fare reassessment.
(Exchange and Reissue cannot be carried out through Japan Airlines home page)
*Ticketing Service Fee applies per ticket
( For the purchase of several tickets, Ticketing Service Fee applies to each ticket. )
*The Ticketing Service Fee for child’s fare is the same amount.
*Ticketing Service Fee applies to Exchange or Reissue of tickets in addition to any rebooking fee required by fare rule of the ticket.
*Ticketing Service Fee is not refundable.
*Ticketing Service Fee applies for the purchase of fares which are not available on Japan Airlines home page.
*Ticketing Service Fee applies to the following tickets which must be processed and issued through Japan Airlines Reservation Centers or Ticketing Counters.
- Travel commencing outside Japan.
- Flights departing from or arriving to Japan are not on a Japan Airlines Group.
- In addition to passenger’s seat, extra seat is requested.
- Children or infants traveling without an accompanying adult.
- Includes waitlist status, an open date, or some of the flights are not confirmed.
- Reservation is made through other than Japan Airlines Group.
- Ticketing for a passenger requires separate tickets.
- Ticketing for a specific passenger within a reservation with multiple accompanying passengers.
- The form of payment is not acceptable in Japan Airlines home page.
