Wallet (Passbook) app for iPhone

Apple’s Wallet (Passbook) app lets you manage all of your boarding passes in one place.

You can also scan your smartphone at an airport reader for quick and easy boarding.

How to register a Pass

From Booking details

Click or tap the "Add to Wallet" button on the booking details page of the JAL website (mobile version). Then, on the barcode page, click or tap the "Add to Wallet" button for each flight (segment).

From Quic Navi

Under "Boarding / check-in," click or tap "e-ticket itinerary." (If you are using a PC, click or tap "Passenger information (QuiC Navi).") On the QuiC Navi page, click or tap "Add to Wallet" to finish registering.

  • Please note that if you make changes to your booking (including seat changes) after registering it in Wallet (Passbook), the registration will not automatically be updated.
    You will need to re-register.

How to use a Pass

STEP1

Launch the app

Launch the Wallet (Passbook) app.

STEP2

Select your flight

Select a flight from your registered Passes.

STEP3

2D barcode

A 2D barcode will be displayed. You can check flight details using the menu in the upper right corner.

A notification will be displayed on the day of departure.

If you do not need this notification, turn off "Show on lock screen" on the reverse side.

Boarding method

Touch the boarding barcode to the readers at the airport security checkpoint and boarding gate. For more details on boarding, please refer to the JAL Touch & Go boardingservice information page.

Important notes

  • Customers traveling on JAL Domestic Award Ticket are not eligible.
  • The 2D barcode contains important information about your ticket. Please be sure to keep it in a safe place until you finish your trip. JAL cannot be held responsible for any losses incurred due to unauthorized use or other causes.
  • Each flight (segment) requires a separate Wallet (Passbook) registration.
  • Please note that if you make changes to your booking (including seat changes) after registering it in Wallet (Passbook), the registration will not automatically be updated.
    You will need to re-register.
  • Passes are not automatically deleted after boarding. You will need to delete them manually.
  • The 2D barcode may not be readable if there is a protective film on the LCD screen.
  • Only boarding passes for flights departing on or after April 12, 2023 can be registered to Wallet (Passbook) from the English-language booking page.

How to register a Pass

STEP1

Tap "Online Check-in" for international flights

Tap "Online Check-in" for international flights under "Boarding/check-in" on the JAL mobile website

STEP2

Tap the "Add to Wallet".

After completing Online Check-in, tap "Add to Wallet*" on the "Issue boarding pass" page.

STEP3

Boarding pass saved

Tap the "Save" or "Add" button in the upper right corner of the Pass to complete the registration.

  • On the PC site, you can click the "Receive on iPhone/iPad (use Wallet)" button to send the information needed for Wallet registration to your device.
  • Each flight (segment) requires a separate Wallet (Passbook) registration.
  • Wallet (Passbook) can be used for JAL Group-operated flights.
  • Please note that if you make changes to your booking (including seat changes) after registering it in Wallet (Passbook), the registration will not automatically be updated.
    You will need to re-register.

How to use a Pass

STEP2

Select your flight

Select a flight from your registered Passes.

STEP3

2D barcode

A 2D barcode will be displayed. You can check flight details by tapping the "i" in the lower right corner.

Boarding method

When you select your seat, check in (via Online Check-in), and issue your boarding pass on the JAL website, you can board your flight without having to check in at the airport on the day of departure. Please see Online Check-in page for international flights for details on eligible airports and terms of use.

Supported devices

iPhones and iPod touches with iOS 6.0 or higher; Apple Watches with watch OS 2 or higher

  • iPads and iPad minis are not supported.
  • Android devices are not supported.

Wallet (Passbook) is an app by Apple that lets you manage all of your boarding passes, coupons, point cards, etc. in one place.

It is included as a standard feature in iOS 6 and higher and therefore there is no need to download it again.
