Dangerous Goods
Dangerous goods are substances that fall into one or more of the nine classes and divisions listed in the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, as defined by the United Nations.
Substances like those mentioned above, which may harm the health of passengers, crew, and airport staff, threaten the safe operation of the aircraft through explosions or fires, or cause damage to facilities and property, may be classified as dangerous goods.
Procedure for Drop Off of Dangerous Goods
Step1 Check dangerous goods classes and divisions
Please check the class and division of dangerous goods in accordance with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
Step2 Packaging and labeling
Please pack, mark, and label dangerous goods in accordance with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
Step3 Complete a Dangerous Goods Declaration Form
Please complete a Dangerous Goods Declaration Form in accordance with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. Deliver the dangerous goods accompanied by a declaration form to the JALCARGO office at the departure airport.
Step4 From goods drop off to pick up
The deadline for drop off of goods at departure and the pick up time vary depending on the airport.

Undeclared Dangerous Goods
The air transportation of dangerous goods requires proper procedures (declaration and packaging). If these procedures are not correctly followed, it may be considered the transport of undeclared dangerous goods and can be legally punished.
