Build up

Your art works are is handled by experienced staff in handling artworks  and can be accompanied by the courier at the warehouse.

Tie down

We take precautions such as use of padding and corner pads to prevent damage from tie down straps.

Furthermore, we take measures to protect delicate artworks by keeping the cargo sheltered from direct sunlight and weather conditions until right before the departure.

Loading

To ensure that the artworks are loaded with due care, we consult beforehand with the person responsible for the consignment to identify any special requirements or other information.

Quick Check service (optional)

We offer the 'Quick Check' service for flights departing from Haneda Airport, where couriers accompanying artworks will be informed of the completion of the loading process.

If the loading is completed after boarding, the cabin crew will inform you before departure.

Steps

Shippers: Please contact the freight forwarder (air freight agent) when booking.

Step 1 Proposal          

We will propose the optimal plan according to the transportation needs, so please use the following guidelines when making your inquiry.

Departure from Japan: At least three business days prior to flight departure (excluding weekends and public holidays)

Departure from overseas: At least five business days prior to flight departure (excluding weekends and public holidays)

Step 2 Booking   

Please contact your nearest JAL sales office. Enter  “J SOLUTIONS ART” product code in the Handling Information field.

Step 3 Acceptance of cargo

The cut-off time for tender will be set individually as these are custom-made transport services. Please confirm and inquire in advance.

Step 4 Delivery of cargo

The delivery time will be set individually as these are custom-made transport services. Please confirm and inquire in advance.
