Some cargo may be left behind if issues such as bad weather along the flight route or at its point of origin or destination cause a booked flight to exceed its allowable cargo load (ACL). Which cargo to leave behind is chosen based on a priority order. 

By using J-PRIORITY service, you can ensure that your cargo receives top priority and will be on the booked flight.

Steps

Shippers: Please contact the freight forwarder (air freight agent) when booking.

Step 1 Booking      

Please contact your nearest JAL sales office. Enter the “J PRIORITY” product code in the Handling Information field.

Step 2 Acceptance of cargo

The cut-off time for tender varies by airport, so please confirm and inquire in advance.

Step 3 Delivery of cargo 

The cargo delivery time varies by airport, so please confirm and inquire in advance.

  • Please arrange your own transportation to and from the airport.
  • Goods may not be available for pickup within the specified time if the flight arrives outside the customs service business hours. For more details, please check the acceptance and delivery conditions of each airport.
