• Seat Selection is only available to fares for individual passengers. （This service may not be offered for Group Fares.)
• Seats may be requested upon booking your reservation.
  • * When booking a reservation up to 2 days before your departure, please select your preferred seat after purchasing your ticket.
• Seat assignment requests are accepted up to 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. It is subject to availability and may not be available on some flights.
• From 5:00 a.m. one day prior to the flight departure, more seats will be available for seat selection. For further details click here.
• Please note that not all seats are available for advance selection because some seats are reserved for passengers who may need additional care on boarding the aircraft, or for adjusting the weight balance of the plane. Also note that the range of seats offered for advance selection is determined by the fare applied to your ticket. If unable to select a seat in advance, please make your selection at the airport on the departure day.
• Pre-assigned seat numbers are subject to change in case there is an aircraft configuration change or any other reason beyond our control.
• When booking online through our website, please proceed to the Seat Assignment page after completing your reservation. (Seat assignment requests may also be made over the phone.)
• Priority seating will be available for Class J passengers flying with children under 3 years of age. For details of seats not displayed through our Online Booking Service, please contact JAL Domestic Reservations.

  In accordance with a directive issued by the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, from April 1, 2009, for the safety of all passengers, emergency exit seats will be limited to passengers that satisfy all the conditions below.
  1. Aged 15 years or above (assignment is not permitted for minors under 15 years of age).
  2. Does not require the assistance of an escort or staff.
  3. Is capable of assisting in an emergency evacuation, such as opening or closing an aircraft door.
  4. Can understand evacuation procedures and crew's instructions, and verbally convey such information to other passengers.
  5. Does not have to assist an accompanying passenger in an emergency evacuation.
  6. Consents to providing assistance in an emergency evacuation.
  Passengers who do not satisfy above conditions are requested to change to another seats.
  Passengers seated in emergency exit row seats will be requested to assist during an emergency evacuation under instructions of cabin crew.
