Information

Care Giver´s Identification Card application is no longer accepted on/after Mar. 31, 2012.
Instead of applying for the Senior Citizen Identification Card, please register passenger information to JMB card in advance. If you already hold a Senior Citizen Identification Card, you can continue using the card within the validity period.

Conditions

Applicable to a care giver who needs to travel between two locations to look after a person who requires nursing support. Limited to a specific one route, connecting the airports located nearest to the places of residence for both parties concerned. Eligibility is limited to the following;
A care giver of an officially recognized person who is in need of nursing support. The care giver must be an extended family member (limited to family members within two generations, such as grandparents, grandchildren, siblings, spouse's siblings' spouse, and child's spouse's parents, etc.)

There are no blackout periods for this fare type.

Please show your Care Giver´s Identification Card or JMB/JAL card* when purchasing the ticket or checking-in.
*If you are willing to show JMB/JAL card, you will need to register passenger information in advance. Please contact JAL Domestic Reservations & Information for further instructions about registering passenger information.
-If you have not shown your Care Giver's Identification Card or JMB/JAL card (passenger information registered) when purchasing the ticket, please check-in at the airport check-in counter.

Application of Care Giver's Identification Card Please have the Care Giver apply with the documents below at the airport or at JAL Domestic Counter.

  • Care Giver´s Identification Card application form.(Available at JAL Domestic Counter)
  • Verification for the person in need of care, such as public-care insurance policy or certificate of the public-care policy. (Within validity, copied form permitted)
    • *Only documents issued by a branch of the Japanese government.
    • *If the address of the person in need of care is not registered, official documents verifying the address is needed.
  • The relation of the care giver and the person in need of care must be verified by family register or an extract of family register.
  • Official document verifying the care givers address.
  • Care givers picture (3cm x 3cm)
Booking and Purchase Booking can be made until the day of travel. Ticket must be purchased within 3 days of the date of booking. If booking is made less than 3 days before the departure date, the deadline for purchasing is 20 minutes prior to the flight's scheduled departure time.
Booking Change Change of booking is permitted. The ticket is non re-routable, not endorsable except for JAL Group flights.
Any changes or cancellations should be completed prior to the flight's scheduled departure time.

Airport change for routes departing from and arriving at Tokyo (Haneda/Narita), Osaka (Itami/Kansai), Fukuoka (Fukuoka/Kitakyushu).

Ticket Validity The ticket is valid for a maximum of 90 days after the date of issue. Please be advised that once the reservation is made, the ticket will be valid for the booked flight only.
Refund / Cancellation All tickets will be subject to a Refund Charge of ¥420. For cancellations that are not made by the flight's scheduled departure time, a Cancellation Charge will be incurred. Refund must be made within 10 days after the ticket's expiration date.
Touch & Go boarding If you are willing to use Touch & Go, you are required to present the necessary document at JAL domestic ticketing counter or at travel agency when purchasing the ticket, or register passenger information in advance. (JMB members only.) Please contact JAL Domestic Reservations & Information for further instructions about registering passenger information.
First Class Advance booking for First Class is NOT available.
If there are seats available in First Class on the day of departure at the airport, First Class is available with an additional charge.
Class J Advance booking for Class J is available.
Class J is available with an additional charge.
Mileage Accumulation Rate 100%
First Class 150%   Class J 110%
  • * When you check in through the Ticketing & Check-in Machine, using an open dated ticket, you have to use this machine to register your mileage information after check-in.
  • * This offer is not available in conjunction with any other offers or promotions.
  • * Child Fare is not applicable for this fare type.
  • * Please be advised that a Passenger Facility Chargewill be added to fares for flights departing from and arriving at Haneda, Chubu International and Kitakyushu Airports.
