Main Activities
Development Support and Use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
The aviation industry is developing and deploying Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to achieve carbon neutrality. The JAL Gourp aims to be a leading airline of utilinze SAF and will work the commercialization of SAF through government-industry collaboration and by engaging with stakeholders both domestically and internationally.
Regional Revitalization
Transport Yamagata cherries to facilitate community engagement
Sharing the desire of producers in Yamagata Prefecture to see the fresh taste of their cherries enjoyed at tables throughout Japan, JAL Group staff have participated in the Yamagata cherry harvest. Although Yamagata Airport does not normally handle air freight, it makes an exception when the cherries are in season.
Well-Being Promotion
Being supportive of the goals of the breast cancer campaign to encourage accurate knowledge and early detection of this disease, JAL Group has undertaken a range of educational activities based around Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. At the initiative of staff, the air freight division has created pink ribbon containers that are being used to ship cargo to destinations around the world.
