The main targets are parakeets and pigeons. For other bird species, please contact us.
Transportation restrictions
Only birds that satisfy the following criteria can be carried. Wild birds that do not satisfy the criteria will not be accepted.
- Transportation to zoos or research institutions for public-good purposes
- Transportation for the purpose of species preservation
- Transportation of birds deemed to be personal pets
- Racing pigeons and new-born chicks are not considered to be wild birds.
Container (crate) requirements
You are responsible for providing your own animal carrier (transportation container), which must satisfy the following requirements:
1. Satisfies the following indicative requirements and large enough for the animal to stand up and sit down and to turn around while upright.

2. Made of wood, strong cardboard, or some other material of similar strength.
3. Robust enough that the bird cannot chew through the container or escape through gaps.
4. The cover or other opening must not be at risk of coming open.
Please also observe the following requirements:
- Sturdy packaging:The outer packaging must be made from shock-resistant materials and be sturdy enough not to collapse when subject to external force.
- Space:The container must be large enough for the animal to turn around.
- Suitable for the animal being transported:Use a container that is of a suitable design for the species and the requirements of the animal being transported.
- Suitable ventilation:The container must have at least three ventilation holes and be designed in such a way that the animal is unable to escape.
- Smooth internal surface:The interior of the container must be smooth enough to prevent injury to the animal.
- Safe door operation:The door or cover must be designed so as not to come open during transportation.
- Leak-proof:The container must be designed so as not to leak excrement or other fluids.
- Clean:The interior of the container must be clean (have been disinfected or otherwise cleaned).
- Light shielding: The container must shield out external light to minimize stress to the animal.
- Compliant with laws and regulations: All necessary transportation documentation must be attached.
- Temperature control: Do not use heating pads or other dangerous goods to keep the container warm.
