Revised Fuel Surcharge Effective From JUN 1st, 2026 (Government approval)
We hope this message finds you well. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.
The fuel surcharge for the first half of June 2026 (June 1–15) will be as follows. The average price of jet fuel during the reference period of the first half of May 2026 (May 1–15, 2026) was $156.02 per barrel. Taking into account the government’s emergency measures in response to developments in the Middle East, the fuel price index has been set in the range of 135.00 to less than 139.99 per barrel. Accordingly, the applicable fuel surcharge has been adjusted as shown below. The fuel surcharge for this period will be ¥143 per kg for long-haul routes to the Americas and Europe, ¥77 per kg for long-haul routes within Asia, and ¥76 per kg for short-haul routes within Asia.
The JAL Group continues to work on reducing costs and improving financial performance. We sincerely ask for your understanding and cooperation in continuing to share a portion of the airline fuel costs.
