JAL awarded exclusive APEX WORLD CLASS status for three consecutive years.

JAL is honored to be one of only eight airlines in the world to receive the APEX WORLD CLASS 2023 certification, recognizing our industry-leading approach to safety and well-being, sustainability, and the overall guest experience.

What is APEX World Class?

The APEX WORLD CLASS award identifies the world’s best-in-class performers on dimensions that matter to today’s travelers.
WORLD CLASS puts a spotlight on sustainability, keeping the customer safe, brand integrity, comfort, engagement, service and cuisine. Only eight airlines in the world have been certified as WORLD CLASS Airlines.

Diamond in APEX Health Safety powered by SimpliFlying

JAL received the Diamond certification in APEX's Health Safety Powered by SimpliFlying on March 2021, becoming the first airline in Japan to receive this recognition. Our hygiene measures and level of cleanliness were particularly recognized.

What is APEX Health and Safety powered by SimpliFlying?

This accreditation is based on 58 criteria across ten stages of the travelers’ journey, ranging from online check-in to the post-flight experience, signaling that JAL provides the utmost care to passengers and staff alike. JAL is the first Japanese airline to receive this certification.
