Unlimited Free Rebooking
This service ended with tickets issued on/before January 17, 2023.
To assist our customers and to provide greater peace of mind, JAL is waiving the rebooking fee on certain international fares, irrespective of the reservation’s original fare rules.
Customers can book travel up to 360 days ahead and enjoy unlimited date changes free of charge within the specified period.
- If your travel is disrupted due to a JAL flight cancellation, schedule change, or entry restrictions, you may also rebook or refund your ticket free of charge. Please refer to the details below.
- If you purchased your ticket through a travel agency or other non-JAL source, please contact the place where you purchased your ticket.

All international tickets issued between June 11, 2020, and January 17, 2023
Eligible Fares
- Fares originating from Europe to Japan
*Fares originating from UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Russia excluded.
- This service ended with tickets from Europe, Africa and Middle East except above issued on/before August 31, 2022
- Standard, Saver, Special, Special Saver fare types
- Not applicable for award tickets and JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) one-way fares.
- Not applicable for the tickets of JAL Dynamic Package/JAL Vacations package.
- Fare differences may apply if the booking change requires any fare adjustments.
- This special free rebooking policy is not reflected in the fare rules displayed on the "Booking Details" screen at the time of initial reservation or after completion of the reservation. If the above conditions are met, the free change rule shall apply.
How many times can I rebook for free?
Eligible tickets are entitled to unlimited changes free of charge during the above period (*1). Reservations can be made up to 360 days ahead.

You may change your booking free of charge on the JAL website through “Manage Booking” prior to the original flight departure date.
This special free rebooking policy is not reflected in the fare rules displayed on the "Booking Details" screen.
Before the commencement of your travel, you can change your booking on JAL website no later than 72 hours before your 1st flight.
Notes
- If changes or cancellations are not made prior to the original flight departure, the free change rule shall not apply.
- For fares with a restricted departure period, if a rebooking is made outside the permitted departure period, fare differences and a change of fare rules may apply.
- Refunds are subject to a cancellation fee in accordance with the fare rules of the ticket purchased.
The free rebooking policy is subject to government approval. Please be reminded that it may not be applicable due to the approval of each country.
