Japan Airlines Launches Honolulu - Haneda Nonstop Service Honolulu, HI – October 29, 2010: Starting October 31, 2010. Japan Airlines will begin operating daily nonstop Boeing 767-300ER service between Daniel.K.Inouye International Airport (HNL) and Tokyo International Airport Haneda (HND). Combined with JAL’s other daily operations to Japan including to Tokyo’s Narita Airport, Nagoya and Osaka, the airline will offer 6 daily nonstop flights between Honolulu and Japan for a total of 42 flights a week. With Haneda’s close proximity to metropolitan Tokyo, travelers can take advantage of the new Honolulu- Haneda route for quicker airport-to-city transfers. In addition, JAL’s new service provides seamless connections at Haneda to other destinations in Asia as well as Europe, including Bangkok, Singapore and Paris. The new route also provides convenient connections for passengers returning to Hawaii from Beijing, Hong Kong and Seoul (Gimpo). Arrivals at New International Terminal at Haneda The outbound flight will arrive at the Tokyo International Air Terminal (TIAT) at Haneda. From the new Terminal Station, travelers can easily transfer to destinations throughout central Tokyo via the Tokyo Monorail, Keikyu Line and Airport Limousine Bus. For the convenience of its customers, JAL will also provide dedicated bus shuttles between the airport’s international and domestic terminals. Passenger facilities located in the new international terminal include JAL First Class and Sakura lounges, which offer the latest amenities, including spacious showers, dining choices, relaxation areas and business centers. In the check-in area, the concept of universal design has been applied taking into consideration the needs of all customers. For early morning flight arrivals into Haneda, JAL is offering its first-ever Arrival Lounge, which is particularly beneficial for business travelers. Private shower facilities and snacks are available for customers to take advantage of before starting their business day. Japan Airlines Expands International Service at Haneda Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) recently opened its fourth runway and a new international terminal, and on October 21, 2010, Japan Airlines moved its existing international flights, including those to Hong Kong, Shanghai (Hongqiao), Beijing and Seoul (Gimpo), to the airport’s new facilities. From October 31, JAL will inaugurate service to and from six additional international destinations: Honolulu, San Francisco, Taipei (Songshan), Bangkok, Singapore and Paris.
