| JAPAN AIRLINES TO GIVE AWAY 120 ROUND-THE-WORLD TICKETS TO PROMOTE MEMBERSHIP IN oneworld ALLIANCE |

El Segundo, CA – February 16, 2007: To promote Japan Airlines' April 1st entrance into the oneworld® alliance, the carrier has launched a global online contest to give away 120 round-the-world tickets. In the American Region, residents of the U.S., Canada (except Quebec) and Mexico are eligible to participate. The contest will run over a three-month period ending at midnight on April 30, 2007, (Japan Standard Time). Upon the completion of each month (February, March and April), the airline will randomly select 20 qualified entrants who have correctly answered a simple quiz included with the entry form. Each winner will be awarded a pair of round-the-world economy class tickets. The around-the-world trip for winners residing in the American Region will begin at the nearest JAL Group gateway for a transpacific flight to Japan. After Japan, winners will continue traveling westbound choosing from other destinations in Asia and thereafter traveling onto Europe. Winners will return to the American Region via the Atlantic. Where a sector is not served by JAL, travel will be provided on another oneworld member carrier. The contest entry form together with complete rules and conditions are available at www.ar.jal.co.jp. On April 1, 2007, Japan Airlines will officially join the oneworld alliance of carriers. JAL Group subsidiaries JALways, Japan Asia Airways, JAL Express, J-AIR and Japan Transocean Air will join as affiliates. As a member, Japan Airlines will greatly expand the oneworld alliance's network particularly within Japan and Asia, offering frequent travelers more opportunities to earn and redeem miles. The JAL Group currently serves 214 destinations, 34 countries and territories. The carrier's American Region gateways include New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, Kona, Vancouver, Mexico City and São Paulo. |
