Japan Airlines Launches New Website and Booking Engine for Asian-Bound Travelers |
January 24, 2007 - El Segundo, CA: Japan Airlines launches a new website today for American Region-based travelers. The new site, available in English and Japanese, is located at www.ar.jal.co.jp and reflects a design similar to the carrier's websites in Japan and in other regions throughout the world. The site also includes a new easy-to-use English-language booking engine for U.S. and Canadian residents purchasing JAL Group and JAL-codeshare flights to over 80 destinations in Japan, China and S.E. Asia. "We're pleased to offer this new resource to travelers preferring to purchase air travel online," said Kiyoto Morioka, Vice President Passenger Marketing for the Americas. "And to ensure that our customers have a positive experience, we have also set up a dedicated 24-hour support desk to answer any questions that may arise during the booking process – day or night." The redesigned www.ar.jal.co.jp site also provides numerous travel services including flight arrival and departure information, advanced seat selection for eligible fares, and special meal requests. In addition, travelers can visit the site for the region's latest campaigns, special fares and tour packages. American Region JAL Mileage Bank members can also log onto the new site anytime to access detailed information regarding mileage activity and FLY ON program status. The JAL Group, Asia's largest airline group, operates from nine American Region gateways including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Kona, Vancouver, Mexico City and Sao Paulo. Japan Airlines will be joining the oneworld® alliance group, with membership to be complete in early 2007. |
