Embark on a Therapeutic Journey in Yanbaru
The River Song Course, certified as a Forest Therapy Road in 2007, offers a serene and healing experience in Yanbaru’s lush landscape. As you walk along the gently flowing stream, the soothing sounds of water and birdsong accompany you, enhancing the sense of tranquility. This forest path allows you to fully embrace the fresh air while surrounded by subtropical plants, including the flying spider-monkey tree fern and Mucuna macrocarpa (irukandato). Along the way, you’ll find a sense of healing, new discoveries, and inspiration.
A forest that tells a story of local history
In the past, the Yanbaru area around the River Song Course was once used as a training field governed by the U.S. military, intentionally designed to mimic a subtropical jungle. Today, this land has been returned and is now known as the "Miracle Forest." You will be picked up by your English-speaking guide at a designated location, and then begin your adventure at the Yanbaru Learning Forest, where you'll learn more about the tour and local history. Next, enjoy a peaceful and immersive walk along the "River Song" Course surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the stream and the vibrant subtropical jungle. When the walk is concluded, you will return to your departure point when the tour is concluded.
