Typhoon Haiyan Relief Effort Miles for Children
JAL Group extends its deep condolences to the people affected by Typhoon Haiyan that hit the central Philippine islands on November 8, 2013. To assist the effort for quick recovery, JAL Group decided to offer support and assistance such as by donation, providing free transport of relief goods and aid personnel from Japan to Philippines. We also ask for cooperation to JMB members to support the children affected by this typhoon through Charity Mile.

Donation will be accepted in units of 3,000 miles on JAL's website.
Counting one mile as one Japanese yen, JAL Group will donate the equivalent amount in cash to Japan Committee for UNICEF. - How to apply
If you wish to support this Charity with your JMB miles, please click the "Apply" button of your preferred units (mileage).
* Each "Apply" button is valid for once only. Even if you click the same "Apply" button multiple times, the application will be for once only.
* Application for 3 units (9,000 miles) is accepted when you click both 1 unit (3,000 miles) and 2 units (6,000 miles) "Apply" buttons.
* If you wish to apply for 4 units or more, please apply to the JMB Center responsible for the region of your registered address by phone.

Please note that applications cannot be cancelled under any circumstances.
- About mileage deduction
Mileage will be deducted within a week of the application date.
| * | Members who have mileage which is valid until the last day of November will be eligible for deduction if they apply by 23:59 on November 30th. |
| * | You can confirm with "Record Details" in Mileage Details (balance inquiry) after mileage deduction. Please note that it will be displayed as "TYPHOON HAIYAN RELIEF EFFORT MILES FOR CHILDRN" in the Record Details. |
| * | If mileage balance is less than the applied mileage at the time of mileage deduction, mileage will be deducted in units of 3,000 miles with the mileage balance as the upper limit. ex) If you applied for 2 units (6,000 miles) but your mileage balance is 5,000 miles at the time of mileage deduction, 3,000 miles will be deducted. |
