2023 Turkey-Syria Earthquake Support Miles
The JAL Group extends its deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones and offers its sincerest sympathy to all who have been affected as a result of the earthquake that struck southeastern Turkey on February 6, 2023, collapsing buildings and causing widespread heavy damage in Turkey and neighboring Syria.
To assist the effort for quick recovery, we ask for cooperation from JMB members to support the people affected by the downpours through Charity Miles.

Mileage for donation
Donations will be accepted in units of 500 miles on the JAL website.
- The JAL Group will donate the equivalent amount in cash (1 mile = JPY 1) to Japan Committee for UNICEF (JCU).

About the Japan Committee for UNICEF (JCU)
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is an international organization that works to protect children's lives and health. The Japan Committee for UNICEF (JCU) is an official organization that supports UNICEF based on a cooperation agreement signed with UNICEF headquarters.
The JAL Group will support the affected children and their families in Turkey and Syria through JCU's natural disaster emergency relief fund.
- This Charity Mile donation will not be eligible for tax relief for JMB members or JAL.
