Possible Flight Delays due to Air Festival at Chitose Air Base on September 14 and 15, 2024

Chitose Air Festival will be held at Japan Air Self-Defense Force Chitose Air Base on Sunday, September 15 and the rehearsal is planned on the previous day.
During these two days, some flights departing from and arriving to Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport may be delayed due to the restriction of airspace around the airport.
Also, visitors who are planning to travel from or to Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport on Sunday, September 15 are strongly recommended to allow more time for traveling to the airport to avoid the possible traffic congestion or shortage of parking lots.

Air Festival schedule
Sunday, September 15, 2024
- around 11:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
- around 1:10 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.
Changes and refunds for delays and cancellations due to these events will be handled in the same manner as Changes and refunds for delays and cancellations due to weather and aircraft maintenance .
