Joseph Perrier Esprit de Victoria Blanc de Blancs 2010 (limited quantity)
The connection between the Royal Family of England and the vineyards of Joseph Perrier dates back to the 19th century. The House has reproduced a Victorian bottle notable for its lack of a punt and named this champagne “Esprit de Victoria”.
The Blanc de Blancs 2010 vintage is 100% Chardonnay from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards of the Côte des Blancs with an element also from Cumières.
A forthright attack yet round and complex, the palate opens with a vanilla touch to give way to crisp and lively flavours. The finish is long and creamy with great freshness.
Joseph Perrier was founded in 1825 in Chalon-en-Champagne in the eastern part of the Champagne region. The British royal family has enjoyed Joseph Perrier Champagnes for over 100 years. As a result, the winery is allowed to write "ROYALE" in the labels as proof of "British Royal Warrant." This designation indicates Joseph Perrier is among the most prestigious Champagne brands. The winery's signature "Cuvee Royale Brut" is a fruit-forward style and is highly valued for its delicate effervescence and long finish. In 2017, Nathalie Laplaige, one of a few female winemakers in Champagne, newly joined as cellar master of Joseph Perrier. Nathalie was selected as "Best Chef de Cave 2019" by Champagne magazine "Bulles et Millesimes." She became the first female winemaker to receive the award.
International Women's Day (IWD) is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8th as a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. On this March 8th, it became a custom to give mimosa flowers to precious women, so it is also called "Mimosa Day", and now "Mimosa" is the symbol of International Women's Day.
As the brand color of Joseph Perrier is yellow like "Mimosa" and the cellar master is Ms. Nathalie Laplaige, Joseph Perrier participates in the various events for the "Mimosa fair".
On this special day, March 8th, please enjoy Esprit de Victoria Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2010, a rare prestige Champagne from Joseph Perrier.
