From November 25,2021, Implementation of Regulation for JAL Lounge Entry in Frankfurt

Thank you for flying with Japan Airlines.


Due to the measures of prevention of Covid-19 infection per Hessen order, please be noted that Japan Airlines will need to limit lounge entry to guests who have the following documents.

Please be noted this regulation is issued by the city and country is subject to change without prior notification.

1. Outline

According to the instructions of the authorities (see item 7 below),

Sakura Lounge (Frankfurt) cannot be used unless one of the following is presented. 

2. Requirements (either document)

Documents written in German, English, French, or Spanish

  • Proof of full vaccination*1

*1 The vaccine needs to be from BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, or Johnson & Johnson

  • Proof of recovery*2

*2 A document which is a positive PCR test result carried out at least 28days ago, but no more than 6 months ago

3. Designated Lounge

  • Sakura Lounge in Frankfurt Airport
  • First class lounge is temporarily closed.

4. Designated Passenger

Lounge eligible guests departing from Frankfurt and eligible companion

  • Guests under 6 years of age are exceptions
  • Guests who are older than 6 years till 18years and not having the proof of full vaccination and proof of recovery can be accepted in case they show their proof of negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours of enrty into JAL Lounge.

6. Others

  • This regulation may change without prior notification.
  • Please note we shall not permit a guest to enter Sakura Lounge without above mentioned documents or exemption.
