A message from The Scheduled Airlines Association of JAPAN

Thank you for your patronage of Japan Airlines.

The Scheduled Airlines Association of Japan would like to share an important message to ensure peace of mind during your travels.

A request from airlines to ensure all passengers may enjoy a safe flight.

In order to prevent the spread of new coronavirus and other infectious diseases and to give travelers peace of mind, please wear a mask or face covering that covers your nose and mouth while at airports and on board aircraft.

If travelers do not agree to the following terms and conditions, they may be denied boarding.

  • In order to keep all travelers comfortable and feeling safe, all travelers are asked to wear masks at all times in airports and on aircraft, except when eating or drinking.
(This excludes infants and young children.)
  • If there are special circumstances that keep you from wearing a mask or face covering, please inform the ground staff or cabin attendant in advance.
(The physical condition and health of travelers may be checked prior to boarding.)
*If obtaining a mask is difficult, coverings such as a handkerchief, bandana, scarf, face shield, mouth shield, etc. are also acceptable.
  • Please wear a mask whenever instructed by ground staff or cabin attendant.
(This excludes travelers with special circumstances who have already discussed with staff as to why it is difficult to wear a mask.)
    * If you interfere with staff duties or do not follow their instructions, you may be denied boarding.
(Examples include but are not limited to cases in which a traveler intentionally ignores staff inquiries, makes it difficult for staff to take appropriate action, or when there is physical and/or verbal abuse of a staff member.)

Your understanding and cooperation are kindly requested to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
