(Between February 6 and March 28) Flight suspension, reduction of flight frequency and schedule change due to the impact of COVID-19 (Last Updated Mar 26, 2020)

Thank you for your continuous support for JAL Group.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, each country updates its restriction of entry to its country or quarantine measures from day to day and there has been a decrease in travel demand. 

In response, the following changes, effective on flights between February 6 and March 28, 2020 are implemented.

 

For affected customers, we will contact you to offer an alternative flight option. However, we may not be able to offer alternative JL flight. For details, please follow the information below titled 'Ticket Refund/Change'.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Applicable Routes

Ticket refund/change

JAL call center will reach out to those customers with an applicable flight ticket by email or call in order to inform new flights or to accept refund processing.

We may not be able to offer alternative JL flight. In such occasion, please follow the information titled 'Customers with no alternative flight' below.

If you have received alternative flight option from JL;

You are able to confirm the new suggested flights number and flight schedule from the "Booking details" on the JAL website, and choose whether you agree or wish for another alternative flights. (Exclude departure from India regarding the refund)

If your booking was made at travel agency, please contact the travel agency where you booked your flights.

If you wish to change to the suggested flights

Please select "Agree" from "Booking details page" on JAL website.

If you wish to change to alternative flights

Please select "Decline" from "Booking details page" on JAL website, JAL call center will reach out to you to confirm alternative flights. "JAL Reservation & Information" is available if you wish to confirm your flights  immediately.

If you wish to cancel your original flight

We will accept your cancellation at JAL website without cancellation fee. Please select "Cancel / Refund" from "Booking details page".

If you made your purchase through JAL call center, please contact us again for cancellation.

Customers with no alternative flights

If you agree to cancel your trip;

  • If you have purchased your tickets through JAL (website, ticketing office), currently refund through web is not available. Kindly wait until JL agent contacting you.
  • If your booking was made at travel agency, please contact the travel agency where you booked your flights.
