To customers who have booked/purchased domestic flight ticket before November 15, 2017

Change in ticket validity

Effective date: November 16, 2017

The followig change in ticket validity will be applied to fares that permit reservation change.

Until November 15, 2017 (Wed) From November 16, 2017 (Thu)

For 90 days from the next day of ticket issue

For 1 year from the next day of ticket issue

  • *If your ticket was purchased before November 15, 2017, and is still valid on November 16, 2017, the validity has been extended.
Applicable Fares
One-Way Fare, Child Fare, Round-Trip Fare, Discount for the Disabled, JAL Business KIPPU*1, e-Business 6, Senior Citizen Stand-By Fare, Care Giver's Saver Fare, Sky Mate Stand-By Fare, Special Transit Fare, Remote Island Fare, RAC Round-Trip Fare*1, Shareholder's Saver Fare*2
  • *1After the first flight is boarded, please use the second flight within the validity listed below.
    JAL Business KIPPU: 91 days, RAC Round-Trip Fare: 60 days (including the date of the first flight)
  • *2The validity is the date printed on the flight ticket or on the Shareholders Discount Coupon, whichever is earlier.

Fare adjustment after ticket purchase

Effective date: November 16, 2017

Fare amount may change without prior notice. No fare adjustment (charge or refund) will be made after ticket purchase.

Notification of domestic ticket handling (for purchased ticket)

About Order Number

Effective date: November 16, 2017

Order Number will be issued for each passenger after ticket purchase.

  • *However, for ticket paid at convenient store (in Japan) by cash, one common Order Number will be issued for all passengers in the same flight booking

Payment for First Class/ Class J charge

Effective date: November 16, 2017

Separate charges for First Class and Class J will be terminated. First Class and Class J charges will be included in the tickets.
Please make payment of the total amount at the time of ticket purchase.
(Please check the fare amount at the time of purchase. Fare amount may change in some occassions.)
In case the class charge is not paid, please proceed to the airport counter on the departure date. Web receipt issued on JAL website will show the total paid amount of the ticket.

To change class after ticket purchase

Effective date: November 16, 2017

Class of service cannot be changed after ticket purchase for the following fares.

TOKUBIN, SAKITOKU, Super SAKITOKU, Ultra SAKITOKU, JMB Companion Fare, Special Transit Fare

To change the class, passengers will be required to refund the original ticket and purchase another ticket of the new class. Refunds will be subject to Refund Charge and Cancellation Charge.
If there are seats available in First Class or Class J on the day of departure at the airport, upgrade is acceptable with an additional charge.

Ticket Refund and Cancellation Charges

Use of credit card as authentication code

Effective date: November 16, 2017

From November 16, 2017, the credit card used for ticket purchase will not be used as an authentication code for various procedures, including boarding, change of reservation that requires payment adjustment, refund, and the reissuance of receipt, boarding certificate, or e-ticket.
*JALCARD (credit card) can be used continuously as the verification of JMB membership number.

Please use one of the following items to proceed the above-mentioned procedures.

  • JMB membership number (if the JMB membership number has been registered at the time of ticket purchase)

About waitlist reservation

Boarding date: From October 29, 2017

The deadline of waitlist reservation is 24 hours prior to the flight departure time.
Once the reservation is confirmed, e-mail will be also sent to the travel companion if she/he is a JMB member and has registered to receive e-mail notification.

For all fares, waitlisting for Class J and First Class seats upgrade is acceptable at the departing airport on the day of travel. An additional charge will apply for the upgrade.

Changes in online booking and seat selection

Effective date: November 16, 2017

Until November 15, 2017 (Wed) From November 16, 2017 (Thu)
Online booking of JAL Business KIPPU Reservation for one flight can be made via JAL website. To book one flight online, please select the One-Way Fare to complete your booking. Seat selection for passenger traveling with 2 infants under 3 years old Seats can be selected on JAL website.
Special icon will show for those seats exclusive to passengers traveling with 2 infants. Adjecent seat can be selected.
Seats can be selected on JAL website.

Changes in e-mail notification

Effective date: November 16, 2017

Changes will be applied as below.

  • In additional to the confirmation e-mail after booking completion, e-mail notifications of purchase deadline, boarding method, confirmation of waitlist booking, and flight delay/cancellation will be sent.
  • Symbols that can be used in e-mail address will be limited to period (.), hyphen (-), underscore (_), and at-sign (@). If you have registered an e-mail address with other symbols rather than above, e-mail notifications about your reserved flight (including operation information) will not be sent after November 16, 2017 (Thu).

Through check-in between codeshare flight and JAL Group flight is not available.
Please check in at the counter of each operating airline at the departure airport and transit airport respectively.
*Baggage can be through checked from the departure airport to the destination.
