Prohibition of using Samsung Electronics Galaxy Note 7 on aircraft

Thank you for flying with Japan Airlines.

Some incidents of the new smart phone of Samsung Electronics Galaxy Note 7, such as incidents of dangerous evolution of heats of installed Lithium-Ion battery during charging, has been reported.
Japan Airlines cannot accept Galaxy Note7 in both checked baggage nor carry-on baggage on the aircraft in correspondence with instruction of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) as the following.

*Code-share flights operated other airlines follow operating carriers' rule

Samsung Electronics Galaxy Note 7

Handling policy

The device are prohibited as checked or carry-on passenger baggage.
*The device without battery also cannot be accepted.
