The following changes will be made to JAL Family Club services on/after April 1, 2018

• Changes to eligible routes for some services
• Abolishment of Flight Bonus Mile Promotion
• Addition to Japan Repatriation Services
• Changes to services exclusively offered to JALCARD members

Please also note that for the Addition of Japan Repatriation Services, requests for the Excess Baggage Charge Partial Exemption Service When Returning Permanently to Japan will be accepted as of March 1, 2018 (Thu.).

The eligible routes for the JAL 'Funin' Overseas Relocation Plan will be changed as follows:

JAL international flights

• *Codeshare flights are not eligible for this service (However, codeshare flights operated by Emirates and Air Tahiti Nui are eligible).
• *The "Free Excess Baggage Charge Service" offered through the "JAL 'Funin' Overseas Relocation Plan" is not available for the above codeshare flights.

Eligible routes for Baggage Delivery Service will be changed as follows:

Eligible routes: JAL international flights to Japan* Codeshare flights are not eligible.

On/after April 1, 2018 (flight date), the promotion will no longer be available to allow JAL Family Club members to receive 300 bonus miles per person (primary member/family member) if living overseas and registering for this promotion, and then flying on eligible JAL international flights to and from Japan with eligible fares.

On/after April 1, 2018 (flight date), the promotion will no longer be available to allow eligible members who return to Japan on eligible flights with eligible fares and choose JAL Mileage Bank as a preferred mileage earning program to receive 3,000 bonus miles per person (primary member/family member).

Effective April 1, 2018, we will start a new service such that when eligible members board eligible flights with eligible fares when returning permanently to Japan, two pieces of baggage will be free of charge, per person, in addition to the standard baggage allowance.
This service requires application beforehand. Please be aware that we cannot accept your application on the day of travel at the airport.

To request this service, please select "Excess Baggage Charge Partial Exemption Service" from "Baggage Delivery Service" (The name will be changed to 'Available service when returning permanently to Japan' as of February, 2018) located on the top page displayed after logging into the special site for JAL Family Club. We will send an email to confirm the result in approximately five days, after reviewing your request.

• *Requests will be accepted on/after March 1, 2018 (Thu.)

JAL international one-way tickets booked/ticketed with the following booking classes^*: F, J, C, D, X, W, E, Y, B

JAL international flights originating from outside Japan

• *Codeshare flights are not eligible for this service.
• *When transiting at overseas airports (flights operated by other airlines, code-share flights), members will need to pay the excess baggage charge for the sector.
• *When flying other airlines in Japan domestic sector, this service is not available.

10 days prior to departure

When JAL Family Club members who are also JALCARD primary/family members board eligible flights with eligible fares when relocating from Japan, three pieces of baggage will be free of charge, per person, in addition to the standard baggage allowance (available once on a one-way flight relocating from Japan only). (For JAL Family Club members who are not JALCARD members, two pieces of baggage will be free of charge per person in addition to the standard baggage allowance). This service requires application beforehand. Applications cannot be accepted on the day of departure at the airport.

Please enroll in JAL Family Club upon ticketing, and apply to JAL Family Club Japan Desk by phone at least^* four days prior to departure.

• *Excluding year-end and New Year holidays, and long-term holidays

• *Must be a JALCARD member at the time of application.

JAL international flights from Japan

• *Codeshare flights operated by other airlines are not eligible.
• *When transiting at overseas airports (flights operated by other airlines, codeshare flights), you will need to pay the excess baggage charge for the sector.
• *When flying other airlines in Japan domestic sector, this service is not available.

Fares are eligible when the class printed in the Class column on the ticket is one of the following.
F, J, C, D, W, Y

• *Please be advised, we do not offer services to carry your baggage at the airport. You will need to carry your own baggage.

When JAL Family Club members who are also JALCARD primary/family members board eligible flights with eligible fares when returning permanently to Japan, three pieces of baggage will be free of charge per person in addition to the standard baggage allowance. (For JAL Family Club members who are not JALCARD members, two pieces of baggage will be free of charge per person in addition to the standard baggage allowance).

10 days prior to departure

On/after April 1, 2018 (flight date), the promotion exclusively offered to JALCARD members, that allowed JAL Family Club primary members who are also JALCARD members (primary members/family members) and who choose JAL Mileage Bank as a preferred mileage earning program to receive an extra 1,000 miles in addition to 3,000 bonus miles per person when returning to Japan on eligible flights with eligible fares will no longer be available. (Regular JAL Family Club members receive 3,000 miles per person (primary member/family member).)
